Zepto and Milli are two sprites added to the sprite library in the Scratch Membership update. They were initially announced as "exclusive sprites"[1], causing controversy about restricting who can remix projects and confusion over who can view the sprites.[2][3][4][5] Scratch Team member cheddargirl later stated that, while the sprites would only show in the sprite library for members, they could be backpacked and remixed by anyone[6], functionally serving only as early access and convenience. However, Zepto and Milli continued to be advertised in membership communications as "exclusive" to members.[7]
Zepto and Milli were drawn by Wing Ngan[8] , the original author of the Scratch Cat, and while likely originally created for the membership program, they have since been become a part of Scratch's marketing and external communications[9]. Zepto and Milli are also sometimes erroneously referred to as being part of Gobo's Friends. However, Gobo's Friends are a separate set of sprites with similar appearances and animations as each other, but they are differing from Zepto and Milli. Even so, they are used as sprites specifically associated with Scratch, and are now part of Scratch's trademarks[10], along with Scratch Cat, Gobo, and Gobo's Friends.
After the discontinuation of Scratch Membership, Zepto and Milli were added to the sprite library for all Scratchers.[8]
Their names, like those of Gobo's Friends, are metric prefixes for powers of 10: "zepto" means 10−21 and "milli" means 10−3.

So, you could technically pull sprites via a backpack, but you'd have to go hunting for projects that have them in order to backpack them. And then you'd have to go hunting through your backpack. Members don't have to go through all of that." post:8749273
