Welcome to the Scratch Wiki, StarlightSparker!

Congratulations on becoming a member of the Scratch Wiki! I'm han614698, a Wikian.

Since December 6^th, 2008, the Scratch Wiki has accumulated 1,507 articles, 3,997 users, 56 active users, 357,286 edits and 4,291 files!

To start editing the wiki, first off, check out the Welcome Tutorial.

From there, you can check out the Cheatsheet, which lists many helpful edit techniques.

If you ever have any questions regarding the Wiki or even just want to chat, feel free to leave a message on my talk page, or leave a message on the Community Portal to ask a question!

I'm A-MARIO-PLAYER and want to welcome you to the Scratch Wiki.
The Scratch Wiki is a wiki that provides information about Scratch, its website, history and phenomena surrounding it. It was released to the public on December 6, 2008 (17 years ago!) and currently has 1,507 pages and 3,997 users.
Before you start editing, read the Welcome tutorial and the wiki FAQ! Here are some useful tips for new Wikians:


New Wikian Tips 
Check out the help pages if you haven't yet. They explain a lot of stuff on the wiki.
Use the sandbox to test out formatting and other stuff. The public sandbox gets cleared automatically every few hours by a bot. If you'd like your own sandbox that won't get cleared automatically, you can create one by going here.
You reply to others by clicking the pencil icon in the top-right of the page, then clicking "edit" or "edit source" (the difference being that "edit" doesn't require knowledge of wiki markup, while "edit source" does.) After that find the person you'd like to reply to, add the right number of :'s - the first person doesn't add any, the second person adds one, third adds two, fourth adds three, and so on. Then you type what you'd like to say and sign it with ~~~~. You click save page and there you go! Here is an example conversation for you that is fake:

If you have any questions about the wiki or suggestions (or something else relating to the wiki that you want a lot of people to see), you can post in the Community Portal. This is the official main talk page for our wiki. You can also reply to posts there. 
If you're looking for pages to edit, I recommend the random page link. You can find it on the navigation bar (to the left) of the wiki. You can also look in the category "Pages to Improve"; it has multiple sub-categories with pages that need to be changed.
The box below where it says "summary" when you make an edit is for your edit summary. Put a short description of your edit here.
Please check "This is a minor edit" if your edit is minor when making an edit — this means things like just changing capitalization, removing a space, or another small edit like that. I have also recently saw some users who mark all edits as minor no matter how big they are - please don't do that.

Potential Rule Violation

Hello!
As per this post, it isn't okay to gossip and discuss drama while using codewords, which is what you seem to have planned here.
I have already noticed a fair amount of TFH discussion on this wiki - and that's really not what it's for. It's reluctantly allowed, but if you start making code words for people - that's where the line is drawn. If you fill in this essay with codewords as currently described another Wikian or myself will be forced to remove it.
If this TFH drama gets out of hand on the wiki I'll likely bring something up on the CP to see if we can get it banned on the wiki. Thanks for understanding!
Note: Though I am not an admin, I am at liberty to make warnings as long as I am not impersonating an admin - that would extend to removing rule breaking content from articles

Heads up related to your TFH essay

Hi,

I see you're putting together an essay on the TFH situation. I'm not super familiar with the TFH situation myself, but I am aware there is a lot of drama and unrest surrounding it, and I want to make sure the Wiki stays a safe and constructive environment. To be clear we (the Wiki administration) are not banning the essay or TFH-related discussion entirely, but I just want to bring up a few things to keep in mind before you post it.

Do not negatively talk about specific users, and in this case I am going to say don't even use codenames since in this case it's pretty easy to figure out who the specific people are
In general avoid being excessively negative, critical, or accusatory, as this is just going to breed resentment
Avoid getting into arguments (such as writing rebuttals of other people say) as this is likely to lead to flame wars or otherwise dangerous territory
If TFH-related content gets too heated or we get the feeling it's headed in the direction of a flame war, we may have to ban discussion of it entirely. We are not doing that now and don't plan to, and we request that you do your part to keep us from needing to do that
If you see anyone else failing to follow these, or otherwise breaking the Wiki Guidelines or Community Guidelines, please report it using the revision report feature so we can handle it appropriately

Please don't take this personally; I am not singling you out here. I just reached out to you first since your WIP essay was the first one I saw. I am aware other users are also making content related to the TFH situation, but I haven't yet had a chance to read what (if anything) they have put up.

Hi, thanks for the heads up! Honestly I'm not sure if I even plan to write this anymore, cause I have other things to do and by the time I get to it it'll probably be irrelevent. Can you delete that page if possible? Thanks! (PS: if users can delete their own subpages, then I didn't know, sorry.)

Please compress files you upload

Hello, I'm TemplatesFTW, a bot that does various maintenance tasks in the background. This is just a friendly reminder that when uploading File:Confirmation for deleting a sprite.jpg, the image size was kinda big, and it could have been smaller if you had compressed it with TinyPNG. Don't worry - I compressed it for you, but I just want to ask you to compress any files you upload, before uploading them. Thanks!
