Welcome to my talk page!
Please edit below this line
Welcome! PS: great request notes! We hardly get good ones on the wiki now!
TheN64man (talk | contribs) 21:24, 17 April 2016 (UTC) Thanks you very much for accepting me into Scratch Wiki! Did you see the article I said I'd Make? You can find it here! I even signed my name on the bottom of it!

- Thank you so much for welcoming me! I'm so glad that you think I have a great one! Question: my signature picture shows up as a question mark in a box. How do I make it my profile image? --
St19 galla (talk | contribs) 18:12, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- this might be a big fix, but your username has an underscore, but it isn't picking up in the wiki :( go to your wiki preferences here then go down to New Signature, put in <scratchsig>St19_galla</scratchsig> then check the box! After that, save changes and you are ready to go!
KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 18:37, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- Alright, I made the changes. I think it works now! Thanks! What are your tips on finding pages to edit?
St19_galla (talk | contribs)
- I personally love Special:Random but there was a discussion going around about this! Scratch_Wiki_talk:Community_Portal/Archive_75#Any_articles_that_I_can_edit_that_need_cleaning_up_or_updating.3F enjoy! ;)

- Great, thanks! With stub pages, what should you generally add to them? Also, how much information is enough for the stub tag to be removed?
St19_galla (talk | contribs) 18:58, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- There is some great information here: Scratch Wiki:Stub :)
- How I tell when a stub should be removed: First, I find a stub page (for example, Questions(forum)) 2. I compare it to another page about the same as that page (in this case, Help with scripts (forum)) and see if the stub is missing information like that :)
KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 19:04, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- I have another question: If you look in the contributions section there will either be a green + with a certain number or a red - with a certain number. What does that mean?
St19_galla (talk | contribs) 20:18, 23 November 2014 (UTC)

That simply means how much characters got added/removed to the page :) For example, if I removed a space from a page, it would show up as -1.
KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 20:27, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, that makes sense! Ok one last question xD could I have a link to the different 'ranks' page and how do you get promoted to a new rank such as Experienced_Wikian?
St19_galla (talk | contribs) 20:33, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- Ok! Help:Group rights lists all the "user groups" we have! To get promoted, usually we have an election, but it happens when we want it to happen - usually about 1 time a year/2?
KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 20:35, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- Gosh, I'm sorry I'm bombarding you with all of these questions xD Do you think it would be OK for me to make a topic about the popular competition called Colour Wars? It is not an official Scratch Team held competition, but it is very popular. It is currently in its second successful competition, and is already making plans for a 3rd and 4th competition. The second one alone pulled in more than 400 entries. There would be no links to it on the page. Here is the profile page for the contest: http://scratch.mit.edu/users/Colour-Wars/ I ask because I saw that the Colouring Contest's had its own page so I was wondering if it would be OK for me to make one for the Colour Wars. It would be a fully completed page and would not be labeled as a stub, or in need of expanding. What do you think?
St19_galla (talk | contribs) 22:47, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- Maybe add it to Scratch Competitions?
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 12:36, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- @-PRO-: I think adding it to Scratch Competitions would be a good idea.
- @KrIsMa: It's usually once a year, or maybe it'll switch to twice a year, but you can't really say with only two elections so far. I remember the last one was October 2014.
- @St19_galla: Welcome to the Wiki! I hope that you'll have a great time here! :)
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 14:12, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for welcoming me! I did add it to Scratch Competitions, but can I make its own page for it? Again, there would be no links to it whatsoever so it won't be advertising, and it would be a completed topic; not a stub. I think that the semi-colon was supposed to be there, but I'm not sure :P Does doing ' @ErnieParke ' actually alert them that they have a message?

Also, as a response to your stub question - there's a little database I made for the organization of completing stubs here
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 23:34, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- @st19_galla: Like SSS said, typing "@ErnieParke" doesn't notify me, but it is a nice way to show who you're talking too.
- Anyway, if you think Color Wars should get its own page, I recommend that you bring up the topic in the Community Portal, so that more people can participate in the discussion. At the same time, I'd just like to note that we usually do not make pages about any user content, with only a few exceptions (ex: Kaj, BYOB, Scratch Forums Music).
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 00:06, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- What about pages like Frozen Coco? I would count Colours Wars a similar topic :D I will talk about it when I next get on a computer :)
St19_galla (talk | contribs) 00:09, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- The thing is Frozen Coco isn't a page... It's a subsection of a page. That's why adding Color Wars to Scratch Competitions was a good idea, but devoting a whole page to it would require some discussion.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 00:13, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Ahhhh I see. I will definitely make a comment about it right away! One last thing: How do I upload screenshots to my User Page? I input the file name and upload the image on the upload page, but it won't work :/

Underscore
If you'd like your user and user talk page to have underscores in the title, add the following text to your userpage: {{DISPLAYTITLE:User:st19_galla}}, and add the following text to your talk page: {{DISPLAYTITLE:User talk:st19_galla}} :) derpmeup (talk | contribs) 23:38, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, what do you mean exactly? Oh and can I go ahead and create that article that I mentioned above?
St19_galla (talk | contribs) 23:42, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- 1.) If you want your userpage to have an undersccore at the top where it says "User:St19 galla", then just add {{DISPLAYTITLE:User:st19_galla}} to the top of your userpage :)
2.) Sorry, but articles about things like color wars wouldn't be allowed, as per S:NOSP.derpmeup (talk | contribs) 23:47, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- There has been articles on notable collaborations such as Frozen Coco so why not one for Colour Wars? It has pulled in more than 400 entries and is in its second competition. It has numerous copies of it. Almost everyone has heard of it :P The projects made by it are even reaching top-loved ;) Again, there would be absolutely no links to the account, studio(s) nor anything else :D
St19_galla (talk | contribs) 23:56, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Well, this is the thing - Frozen Coco is considered a notable collaboration because it actually started the whole idea of Scratch collaborations. The standards for notability here are extremely high.
And trust me, I know all about it and could write an entire article about it (I'm actually the co-leader of ruby), but the reason I'm not is because of the notability guidelines and S:NOSP.derpmeup (talk | contribs) 00:11, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

Date Code
It seems to me that your date code up there is stuck on December 11, 2014...Not sure why. Anyway, It's cool to see you're on the wiki too! :D Amateurradiogeek15 (talk | contribs) 17:39, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Editing Other Userpages
Please do not edit any other wikians user page unless you have written permission from them. There are exceptions like if there were inappropriate content. Thank you. -PRO- (talk | contribs) 20:40, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- The only user page I edited was CrazyNimbus's, and she would have done the edit herself if she knew about the article :) I decided to be helpful and do it for her :) Is that not alright? :( Sorry! St19_Galla Talk • Contribs 00:22, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- if she was okay with it.
also, use {{e|emoji here}} to make scratch forums or comments emojis.

your custom sig
I'm going to discuss this with admins, but with compliance to Scratch Wiki:Custom Signatures, your custom sig must have your avatar in it. This is mainly because we don't recommend custom sigs, so even though we allow it, it has to be as close as possible to the regular signature. Sorry for the inconvenience.
KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 22:50, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
- The exact new rules that you need to follow have been posted on the CP. Please change your sig to follow those rules ASAP.

- You need to change your signature now, st19_galla, it's been so long (FNAF?).

The API
Ok so do you have Python? Python is what I use. Get it then type this into command prompt:
cd C:/Python34
pip install requests
Now, download this right click on the python file inside and hit "Edit with IDLE" now, click on run dropdown in the code window, and click "Run Module" now enter your scratch name and password. Don't worry, your password isn't collected. Wait until you see your bio, then close it. Now, you have access to many APIs. Use this to get info:
s.get("paste url here", headers=headers)
Good Luck!

Is Scratch Down?
Hi, I cannot connect to scratch and I tried the troubleshooter, and it said, "Your computer appears to be connected correctly, but the device or resource (scratch.mit.edu) is not responding." I noticed that you last edited something, so if you are on, could you please find out if you can get to Scratch? Jandrewg (talk | contribs) 13:59, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply! Scratch seems to be working fine for me :)

Thank you for adding all of those citations. It helps improve the quality of the Wiki and ensures its accuracy. Keep up the good work! jvvg (talk | contribs) 19:25, 24 January 2016 (UTC)
- It's no problem :) Recently I've been having a hard time to find stuff to edit, which is a good thing, but I still feel it's a duty of an editor to remain active and keep the wiki as accurate and as high-quality it can be. So I decided that fixing the daunting list of citation needed templates would be a great way to help :)

Quick Question!
Hey st19_galla! First off thanks for helping out so much on the Wiki! Second I was wondering if I could always change the date whenever a new day comes on your profile since it is hardly updated from you. Thanks! AghaCool (talk | contribs) 01:06, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
- The date updates automatically ;)
And thanks, you too! St19_Galla Talk • Contribs
Why?
Why did you undo my revision? It took me a long time! AghaCool (talk | contribs) 16:21, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
- As per S:NOSP, wiki articles shouldn't link to Scratch user pages. Sorry it took you a long time :( I know you meant well, I just didn't want you to get in trouble. :)

Your Signature
Hey Galla! Is there any chance you could change your signature back to the default by using four tildes, instead of User:st19_galla/Sig? Or could you at least change your custom signature so that it fits Scratch_Wiki:Custom Signatures? I hate to be a pain, but it's messing up the formatting on talk pages, so the text in the message below it doesn't go on to a new line (Example). I'm not really sure what's doing that, but is it possible you could change it? Thanks!
Hamish752 (talk | contribs) 08:15, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hm, you're right! I always noticed that but never really pieced it together. Perhaps we could get jvvg over here to see if he knows what the problem is?
