Welcome, Seg-leinad!
Welcome to the Scratch Wiki!
Hi Seg-leinad and welcome to the Scratch Wiki! I'm banana439monkey (or Banana for short) and, however inactive I am, I'm an experienced wikian. Outside of the wiki, I'm a maker who makes projects either out of curiosity or for the sake of the end user and with them in mind (after all, the end user is why I do what I do). The wiki's a welcoming place full of friendly and helpful Scratchers who are eager to see what edits you make! If you need help, you can always ask me, although given my activity, you'd be better off asking on the Community Portal or reading the help pages. Following the welcome tutorial is also a great way of finding your way round the wiki! Anyway, that concludes my grand speech and it's your time to do the unimaginable. Have fun and enjoy your stay!

Cool tips on how to edit
- To edit, click the pencil icon at the top of the page next to your username. Then, click edit. If you don't see the button it may be because the page is protected for certain users.
- After you are in the editor, check out the cheatsheet for editing tips.
- You can also check out the help pages for more detailed information on editing.
- You can test editing features out in the community sandbox (it will get cleared every few hours), or you can make your own sandbox here.
- Before making a page, make sure it does not already exist. You can do this by using the search bar located at the top of the page.
- If the page you wanted to make is already created, you can create a redirect page! For more info on redirect pages, see this.
- To make a page, go here, or type the page name you want in the search bar and then press the link that says "create this page by editing this!"
- For information on magic words, check out the MediaWiki Documentatation.
Cool tips for using templates
- A list of templates can be found here
- To use a template, put it in curly brackets ({{}})
- To create a template for yourself, make a subpage of your userpage, like 'User:USERNAME/PAGENAME'.
- To use a template you have created, put the name in curly brackets, like {{User:USERNAME/PAGENAME}}
- To have a template's code come on a page when you save it, put 'SUBST:' before the template name, like {{SUBST:User:USERNAME/PAGENAME}}
Cool tips for finding pages to edit
- Use random page
- Check out articles to expand
- Check out article stubs
- Look at edits on recent changes and see what you can do to improve it even more.
- Look at S:CPND for discussions to take part in
Cool tips for posting on talk pages
- To post on someone's talk page, simply press the pencil icon and then press "New Topic". Type in the subject and message.
- Then, make sure you sign your post with 4 tildes (
~~~~ )
- When replying to a talk page post, edit the section that has the message and then indent your post with a colon (
: ). If someone already replied, use one more colon then they used. (See example conversation below)
Your custom signature
Currently, your custom signature violates the custom signature guidelines for making a custom signature, as it uses a blue background. Please fix your signature until it meets the guidelines.
- I know about this rule, but it is controversial. Please note that 2 Experienced Wikians have signatures with backgrounds (Banana439Monkey, who posted above), and St19_Galla (see signature here). Bigpuppy's Custom Signature Wizard ( found here) also mentions this controversy in the Automated checks section.
- Thank you for remembering me. If more people mention this fact, I will consider changing my signature.
Please compress files you upload
Hello, I'm
TemplatesFTW, a bot that does various maintenance tasks in the background. This is just a friendly reminder that when uploading
File:Seg-leinad-user-logo.png, the image size was kinda big, and it could have been smaller if you had compressed it with
TinyPNG. Don't worry - I compressed it for you, but I just want to ask you to compress any files you upload, before uploading them. Thanks!
