Posting on talk pages
Generally, when we add a section to a talk page, we do it at the bottom. It is also useful to use the Comment button to start a new section, as it leaves an automatic edit summary. Scimonster (talk | contribs) 19:10, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for your help! I don't need the comment button, I just edit the article, as all talk pages are like articles itself.

- That's true.
- Some editing etiquette:
- Never edit other peoples' posts
- Indent replies (except on WeirdF's centered page XD)
- Post new topics at the bottom
- Thanks!

Behaviour
Talk about my behaviour here!
I generally don't have much to post on articles, however more than 1 person is here, they can add article information.

Unfinished signatures
If you do 3 tidles ( Rdococ (talk | contribs) ) instead of 4 (
Rdococ (talk | contribs) 17:01, 28 April 2011 (UTC) ) you only get the profile signature not the date too. Is this supposed to be like that or is it just that 3 of the tidles are the scratchsig insert and another one adds the date? That's quite weird. Also is doing <scratchsig>USERNAME</scratchsig> the equlivant to doing 3 tidles? P.S. I had to do part bold of the command to stop it becoming the signature code of the person USERNAME.
Rdococ (talk | contribs) 17:01, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, that's what happens. 5 tildes produces the date and time.
- Oh, and just do <nowiki><scratchsig>USERNAME</scratchsig></nowiki> which makes <scratchsig>USERNAME</scratchsig>
- Also, community matters (like this) should be put on the Community Portal.

SpecialTopic: Quick Post
Please do not edit this unless to add links to post on new topics you have created.
Post on Why did I say something on your page
To add a topic:
1. Go to here and post the topic. [By the way, that's a link to edit the talk page for a new section] 2. Edit this topic at this link to add the link to post on your new topic.
Syntax of step 2 of adding a topic: [http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/index.php?title=User_talk:Rdococ&action=edit§ion=SECTION# Post on TOPIC TITLE] is the syntax of adding the link to this special topic.
Why did I say something on your page
Is there a reason it says "wouldn't that make it so anyone could use anyones name? by scimonster" ?
1) I don't talk like that.
2) That could be interpreted as coming from me, which isn't wanted. Scimonster (talk | contribs) 06:27, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, bye bye Alternative! Instead I'll make something else on my userpage. Oh, and anyway I could fake a post too: "This is actually made by rdococ
USERNAME (talk | contribs)" You see?
Rdococ (talk | contribs) 08:17, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- For example, rdococ is actually posting this, but using the wrong text to display sig, so it displays sig of someone-else.
