Welcome!

Kenny2scratch logo.jpgWelcome to the Scratch Wiki! I look forward to the useful edits you'll make and hope you'll have fun here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page, where you can talk about the Wiki, get my help with templates, or even ask personal questions, and more! If you need quick help with wiki markup, take a look at Scratch Wiki:Cheatsheet. You might want to go to Category:Articles to Expand to find pages that need editing. I get my inspiration from Special:RecentChanges however, so looking at that helps too. See you around, PurpleRabbit07;

Please don't include your signature in articles

When editing an article, please just make the change you need and explain why in the edit summary (the small textbox below the big one). The way this Wiki works, the pages are supposed to be read as if they were not written by any specific person. The reason we have signatures is to mark who made a post on a talk page (like I am doing here).

Also, please don't let this discourage you from editing. This is just a friendly reminder, and the best way to learn how to edit the Wiki is editing the Wiki. Please do not hesistate to ask me on my talk page if you have any questions.

Please don't remove messages from your talk page without archiving them

Recently, you editied your talk page, removing all messages you posted. You did not archive them, so I brought all of those messages back. Please do not do what it in future on the Scratch Wiki.

Also, you used HTML, not wiki markup to insert headings/subheadings in this talk page. Read this to know how to do them in wiki markup.

Jammum, are you okay?
What they meant was, on the Wiki we usually don't remove talk page messages entirely - that's only for when messages are disrespectful or otherwise not fit for the Wiki. Instead, we tend to archive them, which involves creating a subpage of the talk page (e.g. User talk:PurpleRabbit07/archive 1), moving the messages there, and then getting it protected so nobody can edit it. That way the messages are still available to read, but not to edit.
Additionally, wikis have special (and more readable) markup for inserting headings and subheadings, which you can learn about in the Welcome tutorial or refer to in the cheatsheet.

Level 1 headings are not used

Hi, I just saw your userpage, and it looks really nice! I think it fits your style well. Thing is, I noticed you used "h1" tags for the biggest header... on the Wiki, we usually don't use level 1 headings because there is only one level 1 heading: the page title! Would you mind changing the headings on your userpage to level 2 or below? (I recommend adding 1 to the level of each heading.) Thanks :)
