I removed the website on User:jvvg/AF/Is Scratch free?

I had to remove it because according to a lot of users who went on that site, it would give you a virus and would crash the viewer's computer. Please read ALL of the reviews carefully on the website above for reasons of why I removed it. Thanks!

Update: You can eliminate the virus by using Windows Task Manager. That's because it is not a true virus, just JavaScript code.

Please don't talk to other users like that. The Wiki is not a competition. Also, please stop taking a joke article so seriously. The AF Wiki is just something we put up for entertainment one day a year. It's not subject to the encyclopedia-like guidelines that the rest of the Wiki is, and doesn't even have to be logical. (To be clear, I'm not taking a side in the dispute over edits, I only protected it the way it is because no version seems clearly "right" to me).

On all TBG pages from now on, the policy is that you can mention Sonic and Kerbal anywhere, provided that they actually add to the humor of the article and are not designed to be inflammatory.

Free speech

I noticed that in one of your edits, you cited free speech. I just want to point out what free speech does and doesn't mean (sorry, this is one of my pet peeves).

Free speech, as guaranteed by the first amendment, means that:

“

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

”

However, that specifically does not mean that private groups are required to show all content submitted. More specifically on the Wiki, that means that content may be removed and even have the revision censored for any reason, or no reason at all. The only documents governing how and why people can remove content on the Wiki are the Wiki Guidelines and Scratch Terms of Use.

For a more detailed explanation, see Wikipedia's explanation on free speech. Since we don't have an actual codified policy about what free speech is, we have a similar view to the one expressed in that article.

Once again, you do not own any pages on the AF Wiki. The policies governing it (including who owns/doesn't own the pages) are at the bottom of User:Jvvg/AF. However, if you did create the page (I'm not sure which one you're referring to), PPL is not allowed to replace the whole idea of the page with something else (also as detailed on the page previously linked), but is allowed to add it without detracting from the original joke.

While many of the cases where you have added Sonic can help the joke, please stop adding it to lots of pages, as it starts to make the AF pages look monotonous. The only theme of the AF pages is the fact that they're ridiculous, and adding Sonic everywhere makes it seem like we're theming it around a video game.

Removing Sonic on AF Pages

Yes, I know jvvg already brought this up, but it's really starting to bothere me. Sonic is on almost every single AF page. I understand you're trying to add, but it's not all about Sonic. Would you get mad at me if I removed some of the Sonic on some pages or not?

I'm going to discuss this with admins, but with compliance to Scratch Wiki:Custom Signatures, your custom sig must have your avatar in it. This is mainly because we don't recommend custom sigs, so even though we allow it, it has to be as close as possible to the regular signature. Sorry for the inconvenience.
