A "Contact Administrators" page

This is not because of anyone's status and such - I just think that it'd be useful. If a user find a vandal, wants one of their files deleted, wants their user page protected, etc. - they should say something to an administrator, right? But they can't tell who is one and who isn't, since there's no page that lists them.

What do you think?

(You might want to start archiving parts of your talk page. ;))

EDIT: Oh, does this belong in the Community Portal discussion page? I'm not sure - maybe it's because I'm used to asking everything on your talk page... :P
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:36, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Well? :/
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:01, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Okay! Sure.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 20:22, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

The "Guidelines" page

I made one in my sandbox - is it okay to have for real? ^_^ You can see it here. :)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 08:16, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

I like it - but I think each major guideline deserves it's own section - not just a few lines in a list of bullets.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:40, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Edited the sandbox... please check it out!

Archive old messages on your talk page

This is the 34th message on your talk page - you should really start archiving old messages. ;)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:22, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Yeah yeah yeah >.> When I get the time
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:32, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

I made the "Guidelines" and "Contact "Administrators" pages

You might want to go over them...
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 08:04, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Awesome! :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 14:21, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Scratch Wikipediholic test

It's not perfect, but Clicky!
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 08:00, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Awesome! :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:35, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Yay! :D Is it good enough to be public/official/whatever?
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 07:37, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
I guess so. :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 20:02, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Oops, forgot to reply. ^^ Yay!!! :D I'm honored. How should we link to it?
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:37, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Hmm! I don't know. What do you think?
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 18:53, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Well... how does Wikipedia do it? :P
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:55, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello? :/
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 08:47, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
"Bumpiteh". :P
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 10:49, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Oh sorry ^.^. I'm not really sure TBH... I'm also not sure if this is necessary... (in my opinion)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:24, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Agreed. :P It was fun to write, though - hey, maybe I can put a link in my user page about it! :D Or would I be allowed to mention it in the Community Portal? :|
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 07:11, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Sure, both! :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 15:48, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Yay! :D
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 06:40, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

When will the new accounts be created?

It's been ages... they really need to be made soon. Can you create the accounts and get Andrés to send the messages?
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 06:28, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Oh - when I was previewing the message, I saw this:

Warning: This page is 30 kilobytes long; some browsers may have problems editing pages approaching or longer than 32kb. Please consider breaking the page into smaller sections.

You might want to do something soon... hey, should I do it for you? ^_^
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 06:28, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Accounts: I'll *try* to create them today - I'm just really busy!!! I'm sorry...
Archiving: Sure, I guess you can do it. Plus, could you also do it for The Community Portal? For both of them, archive all messages without posts after June 10. That should make things better...
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 22:43, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Accounts: They've been created, yay! :D (I feel sorry for you... :()
Archiving: I'll get to work... oh, do I create a new archive for the Community Portal? I'm not sure - I'll wait till you tell me, sorry. :( But I'll get to work on your talk page. :)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 06:39, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
EDIT: There were no messages without any posts after June 10... so I didn't get to create the page. Dx But I created the archive thing... here. You can delete it if you want.
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:17, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Yes, make an archive for the community portal - it said it right up there :P. And what do you mean there were no messages without any posts after June 10??? Of course there are! Just look at my first talk page message for example!!! What are you talking about???
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 18:44, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
I think he misunderstood you - it could mean:
  1. To look for messages that had not received any replies made after June 10
  2. To look for messages with no replies at all that had been posted from after June 10
I don't know if I phrased that very well...
Chrischb (talk | contribs) 05:57, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
I thought you meant those messages with a level 2 heading... sorry! :( ^_^ >_< And for the Community Portal, my question isn't answered - do I add to the existing archive, or create a new archive page? Anyway, I'll get to the archiving for your talk page...
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 06:11, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Done archiving your talk page! :)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 06:21, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Jonathanpb! Now, you just have to do the community portal :) I really appreciate all of this. Now that I have the accounts done, the main reason I'm being lazy is because I'm addicted to Lego WeDo :D
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:26, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Ah, you didn't answer my question for the Community Portal yet - do I create a new archive page, or add to the existing one? :P Oh - be as lazy as you want. :)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 01:48, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Yes - create a new archive. Everything on or before June 10. Sorry for not clarifying things.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 02:21, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
You don't have to apologize! :D I'll work on the archiving when I'm on a better computer. ;)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 02:34, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Done! :D But the second archive page says 1 in the second 'blueish box'... help? ^_^ (I'm so hopeless at wikis!)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 06:43, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
I think it's fixed now...
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 14:30, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Can I be A sysops

Can I be a sysops/bureaucrat....

I will be helping the wiki (obviously)

Do tell me if I can be a sysops.

Subh Subh 11:48, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

I've already discussed this at the forums ;)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 19:07, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Hey I copied your signature

Quite weird it is but I, Subh am writing this message and putting your stamp under it

Subh 16:56, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Please don't do that - it's being dishonest for who you are ;). It can confuse people very much.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 22:22, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
I was just SHOWING YOU HOW EASY IT IS TO COPY A SIGNATURE. Could we change it?

Also I can edit your previous messge very easily.

Maybe we need a different code/ way of posting in Talk Pages, like in scratch forums, maybe where we can only add posts (a reply to post feature would be very nice) and our names are always shown. Subh 14:58, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

I understand what you mean, but that's part of how a wiki works ;). Part of being a contributor, is your duty to be honest, and not edit anybody else's messages or copy anybody else's signature :). There's not really any other way to do it, I'm afraid.
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 01:51, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
It'd be practically impossible to get things so secure... anyone can write and edit whatever they want...
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 01:25, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

The power for suppressing redirects when moving pages

That would be very useful... often I move pages and have to delete the unnecessary redirects (which non-admins can't even do). Is it possible for you to add the feature (for everyone)?
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 07:28, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I remember that feature on the previous wiki. It's being worked on :)
Lucario621 (talk | contribs) 14:36, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
Yay, it's implemented! Thanks! :) :) :) :D :D :D :P :P :P
