This might seem complicated, but here I go! 1. make a new page, and type in your {{User:St19 galla/Sig}} like I did in User:KrIsMa/SigIns. 2. go to your preferences, and then in signature, type in {{SUBST:yourpagenamehere}} (i did {{SUBST:User:KrIsMa/SigIns}}), and then that's it! Sign your posts with the four tildes and it will automatically have the timestamp! but again,, with custom signatures, you have to sign your posts differently, all on Scratch_Wiki:Custom_Signatures#Using_custom_signatures. Enjoy!

Article question

Hello! I have a few questions. Why was my article, "Mix and Match Camp" deleted? Me and CrazyNimbus were working hard to make an article about the new summer camp held by the scratch team. There was nothing innapropriate about it!

What I did was called a "move". A move is just a title change, and if you look at the Recent Changes, I just changed the title so it had capitalizations - so it's not deleted! :) Also: Mix_and_Match_Camp

About the SSA ....

About the article at SSA which was recently deleted. The user who created it (User:Barcode312) actually, made it to make the collaboration more popular, as they were a member of it. They stated in their application to join the collaboration that they were a wiki editor and wanted to create an article about it to make it more popular. I think this might be a simple case of misunderstanding, but I think it would be a good idea to have a little chat with him/her so they more clearly understand the rules of the wiki.

Custom Sigs

I'm working on my custom sig. It's based on yours, so I hope that's okay (I will give credit)!

Anyway, the custom sigs article says to do the eight colon (:) test. Every time I try, it doesn't indent. Do you know why that is?

Yeah, quite complicated! Here's a workaround:

first, make a new page called "sigins" or something, and make the content "{{User:Purplebook163/Signature}}", and then change the signature in preferences to User:Purplebook163/Sigins or whatever you named it. then, make sure to enable wiki markup in the signature

Templates

I think your template page is a wonderful resource, but I'd like to suggest a few changes.

I often have trouble finding what I'm looking for, so it might be a good idea to find a way to organize it, other than the table of contents. I don't know a good way to do that, but it's definitely something I'm willing to look into for you.

I'd also suggest a brief description of the template below each template. This description could state when the template should be used, how to create your own version of it (such as User:Purplebook163/Index Template), and what parameters can be used.

Also, Template:S has no moved to Template:Emoji/Template:E, but Template:S and Template:Smiley redirect to it. This is because new emojis have been added. , , , , , , , , They should probably be added to your page.

I'd be willing to make these changes, but seeing as how it's your user page I need your permission.

Update: I replaced all of the subheadings under "Emojis" with a table. It's much easier to navigate now.

I also left some HTML notes on how other editors of the page can help, such as what's missing in the Emoji table. If you wanted to get some work done on the page, you might want to look for those.

I'd like some help with HTML please

Hi! I'm experimenting with HTML, and I am stumped. Would you mind helping me?

Basically, I want a background behind a heading, and the background to extend to one row (possibly two) of images below it. I want these images to link to wiki articles. The problem I'm having is getting the images in the rows to sit next to each other, rather than creating a new line with one image on each line. You can see what I have so far here.

please calm down. the wiki is run collaboratively - which means that we all work together to make a great wiki. in your case, you may of not known, which is completely fine. however, you did say that you wanted to irritate ppl. even if that was a joke, that isn't that the wiki is on. we have the good faith right, but if you admit that you were trying to irritate her, it isn't a collaborative wiki anymore. also, if you wanted, you could always upload your own image, instead of replacing it. it would be a bit easier, and you would be the one that created it!

Let's say, ModPage gets created, but it is about Mod1 and Mod2. We would put {{split}} on it, with the parameter "into two pages named Mod1 and Mod2" in it. Then, we could create the pages.

Oh, that was a movement started by a user that was aimed to remove non-existant user pages. The template was put on a userpage, and the page created.

Since we wanted to keep non-existent pages non-extant (for historical/accuracy reasons), we cleared the contents of the nored template. We didn't want to delete the template because we didn't want to edit userpages again to get rid of the nored template. confusing~!

Yeah, actually, there is no space originally between your sig and the content even with a regular signature. I'm going to sign this post with my original signature to show that. Yeah, you have to press "edit" to edit grammar. In fact, you have to press edit to edit any part of the page :) Also, if you want to access someone's talk page easier, look at their signature and press "talk".

Simply add <div class="faqshortanswer"><onlyinclude> at the beginning of the sentence and </onlyinclude></div> at the end :) Although, the square should only be used on the first few sentences for FAQ pages. Some templates automatically add a category to the page when it's used, for example {{Delete}}. Use cat=no as a template parameter to stop it from doing that :)

About your revert to my edit

Though I did read the editing conventions, I still firmly believe that the article’s DISPLAYTITLE should be changed to have the first I decapitalized. My reasons:

1. The name of the extension is decapitalized - as specified by the creator.
2. The editing conventions do not specify that the first letter must always be capitalized.
3. There are other articles on Wikipedia with the same situation that do have their first letter decapitalized, like eBay.

Please do consider letting this article have the capitalization it deserves.

actually, I've looked around the wiki. Block names without the initial capital have a capital in its title name. I guess the editing conventions want us to be consistant.

No blocks have capitals - but the convention is that we capitalize them anyway. However, isOnline is not a block - it should be decapitalized. We should probably add an exception like Wikipedia does - names of things that have their first letter deliberately capitalized should have {{lowercase title}} on them.

Apparently, the text-decoration: blink is depreciated in favor of the CSS animations, and apparently Firefox only supported it. Unfortunately I don't think it works anymore.

Simply press the pencil icon in the top right corner, press edit and edit away!

I mean, you know there are articles with contents where your could click on something and it will take you some where in the article? Well , how do you do that?

There will be an automatic table if there are 3 headings, but you can force it to appear using __TOC__.^{ps. please indent your messages using a colon.}

MediaWiki:Common.js is executed on all skins, on all pages. That's only editable by admins though.

Custom CSS is disabled on this wiki.

Your scratchwikiskin.css file is useless. You should use Special:ChangeContentModel to change the content model of your CSS file to wikitext, then add the {{delete}} template to the CSS file.

40 actions is very little compared to what actually active users have. They also only came on for a few days - those 40 will disappear after the month is out.

Even if they were inactive, you have no right to tell them what to change on their userpage, since it would be a violation of S:USERSPACE.

Revert Delete

Can you please reverse all your deletes on all my pages? You deleted many that I still needed... like the following...

Why did you put the delete template on all your pages? When you add it to your page with no cat=no parameter, it will get deleted.

Oops my mistake! Just make sure to be careful when you put delete templates. More documentation is at template:Delete.
