Problem with a file upload
Beamy68 (talk | contribs) 01:47, 12 October 2019 (UTC) I can't upload an image to my user page, it just comes up with an error:
" The action you are attempting was automatically blocked. Please read the message below for details on why.
You must enter a comment when uploading a new version of a file or editing a file page. You must also include a category when uploading new files.
If you believe that this happened in error, please contact a bureaucrat to have it fixed. A list of bureaucrats can be found here. The name of the rule that triggered this warning is described as Prevent uploads or file edits with no comment or category. "
Please help if you can, thanks!
- You need to upload the file with a comment/summary in the "Summary" box and include a category. (Read Help:Managing Files and Help:Categories)Btw, siggys go below the post, not above!

Help on Scratch
Hello. Thank you for your help on the new profile page thing. Can you help me with these things:
How to make a talk page.
How to make archives.
How to make private templates (if not possible, how can you make templates not listed in the Scratch archive of templates).
How do you talk through your mouse.
Thank you.

- Hi, have you read the welcome tutorial yet? Talk pages are explained in more detail there. You don't need to mark every topic you create as {{not done}}, by the way - that template is only necessary if the discussion has gone on for a while and still hasn't been resolved.
- Archives are made by creating a subpage of your talk page (e.g. "User talk:Legogo7777/Archive 1") and moving all of the topics on your talk page into the subpage. After moving the topics, add {{protect|<talk page archive>}} to the top to mark it for protection (to ensure that nobody edits it).
- Regarding templates, first off: this is not Scratch. This is the Scratch Wiki. There is no "Scratch archive of templates" - there is only the list of templates on the Scratch Wiki.
- Second, all templates, no matter where, can be used by anyone anywhere (besides {{open userpage}}, which has some special magic). However, if a template is only meant to be used on your userpage, you can create it as a subpage of your userpage and simply include it like so:
{{User:Legogo7777/Template Name}}
Do not create it in the Template namespace, as that is for templates meant to be used on real Wiki pages. - "talking through your mouse" is done with the HTML
title
attribute. This:
<span title="This is the title of the element.">This is the content of the element.</span>
- Produces this:
- This is the content of the element.
- Hope that helps :)

Hello! How do you organize your pages so well?
Hi! I just want to say hi, that welcome tutorial helped me a lot. I know how to use the wiki pretty well now. Just how is your user page, talk page, and articles so organized.I've only just got the hand of the wiki. But, like how do you add pictures, make those boxes at the side, and more. Also, I'm only eight so please don't suggest to complcated stuff. Again, thanks for showing me this. Also one thing, I preveiwed this and I saw that my name was on there instead of AdeptMind. After, you tell me this I should be good. Thanks! 998930 (talk | contribs) 01:10, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, and also, I saw that the top of the psge said,"Ooh! A new message from 998930". Does that mean you are on? Also, please reply to both questions on my talkpage.
