You use a compressing site like TinyPNG (TinyPNG is the one that is mentioned on Special:Upload, and Special:Upload is where I got it from ). TinyPNG's website can be found here.

Since kenny2scratch has just arrived back to Hongkong a few hours ago after >30 hours staying awake (15:20 german time starting from Düsseldorf 6h flight to Dubai + 2h waiting + 8h from Dubai to Hongkong) I think he will be absolutely tired and will have a big jet lag. :)

I see! You made it an internal link by only linking the title as it is already on the scratch wiki. I'm new to the wiki so I thought every link was by URL. Thanks for fixing it! I have now learned how to correctly use internal links!

You got it! Additionally, I also removed the spaces around the pipe (|) character, since they just get trimmed off anyway. I also changed the underscores in the title to spaces (titles are stored with spaces, not underscores).

You're welcome, as well. Just so you know, you don't need to reply to people on their talk pages unless they specifically ask for it (which I didn't). If you post a message on someone's talk page, they will also likely reply on their talk page, so if you want to see when someone replies to you, you can check Special:RecentChanges.

Changes to Scratch 3.0 article

I was adding in the notes on changes as you deleted the article. I have recreated it so that it can be considered as complete but it could definitely be improved.

I re-deleted it because I don't think a single section is enough. There needs to be a lot more detail for it to become a complete article, I think. If you think there can be enough detail, feel free to re-create it - just add {{In Progress|<your username>}} to the top so I know you're working on it.

Bot actions for 3.0 release

Can your bot replace articles that are in Scratch Wiki:3.0 Articles?

Actually, any of the bots (one word one link) can do that, since it's a one-time mass edit. It'll really depend who gets to it first. I'll do it if nobody else has already done it :)

Fix this template

Can you please fix Scratch Wiki:3.0 Articles/Template:Other version so it detects the versions properly? The old version's code has 3.0 as current and anything else as old, but it displays 2.0 as current and anything else (imcluding 3.0) as old.

I'm not sure what you're really talking about. I've fixed the template documentation so that it no longer categorizes the template as being an article about past versions, but if that's not the problem then what do you mean?

It doesn't detect the versions properly. Look at Scratch Wiki:3.0 Articles/Paint Editor (2.0).

Okay, I  Fixed both the template and the page. The template was using PAGENAME instead of FULLPAGENAME, the former of which strips the namespace and the latter of which contains the complete page name, so the {{#ifexist:{{PAGENAME}}}} check failed even though the article existed. On the page, you use the version the article is documenting first, then at most two other versions, so I switched the |3.0 with the |2.0.

I can't move Scratch Wiki talk:Community Portal#A little reorganization of old topics to Not Done without your example template breaking

Howdy! I moved some topics to the Not Done section of the Community Portal, but I can't move that topic without your example template switching to the vertical version. Do you know how to fix this? Thanks.

I just added a new option to the template to input the subpage of the Community Portal that the project topic is on. I didn't anticipate the topic being moved to Not Done - it's fixed now. I've moved the topic to Not Done as well.  Done

What do your highlighted edit summaries mean?

Sometimes your edit summaries include "updated since ny last visit". What does that mean?

That means since you last visited the page, the edit occurred.

That's a MediaWiki feature that I don't really get. I don't know when, why, or how it appears; I just know that occasionally if you've visited a page recently and someone edits it after that, the next time you look at the page's history you'll see that highlight. Maybe it only appears for pages you watch? I don't know.

Eyy, you're mostly doing alright. There isn't really a "norm" for your userpage, as it's called, you can put basically anything in there as long as it follows Community Guidelines.

Let me tip you on a talk page norm, though: your signature comes at the end of your post, not the start. :P So you do something like message~~~~, rather than ~~~~message.

Otherwise, you've gotten everything right so far!

Did you mean this as a reply to the topic above, by the way? If you did, you can actually just add a reply there, following this custom:

First message ~user1
:Reply to message ~user2
::Another reply ~user3
:::@user2: reply to user2 ~user4

Basically, you add a colon per reply, and use @user: when replying to a specific person (although it doesn't make a link or anything, it's still a way to indicate who you're talking to).

If this was meant as a separate topic, then that's just some advice for future use, I guess :)

How did you make the title of your page monospace font and blue?

I used the {{title style}} template, which is empty but changes the style of a page's title. See Template:Title style/doc for usage of the template.

For your information, it's spelled "bureaucrat".

These people have said it all - image uploads are blocked if the filesize is over 300KB or if the resolution is above 1049088 pixels when you multiple the width and height. New images must also have a category, which you add by using [[Category:(category name)]]. You can find a list of possible image categories here.

Additionally, if you're uploading a new version of a file, you have to include a comment when uploading - you can't reupload without saying anything.

Why did you revert my edit on Kaj, it is the begging of a sentence and hence should start with a capital.

I pinged you on discord about it, but no matter. I accidentally used rollback instead of undo; what I meant to say in the undo summary was that "kaj" is a lowercase name, and name case takes priority over sentence case. kaj's name is kaj, not Kaj (as proven by the API) and therefore even at the start of a sentence it should be lowercase.
