Aw snap!

Almost edited an archive again!
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 20:07, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

You beat me to the first topic by less than a minute! Arrg!
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 20:08, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I always get the first topic, don't you know how it works around here? :P
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 20:10, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
...and I always protect archives before anybody else can edit them. That's the system. :)
jvvg (talk | contribs) 20:15, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
But I am very fast, and I will do it one of these days ;)
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 21:10, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I'm fast too. I can run a 5:07 mile and 18:12 5K. ;)
jvvg (talk | contribs) 21:15, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I'm so fast I have better things to do then run.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 21:23, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I guess I'm not so cool, then. I ran 10 miles this morning, so apparently I don't have better things to do.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 21:28, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

To me, it sounds like: 10 miles of coolness. I'd like to run 10 miles every morning. ;)
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 21:34, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Today it actually was coolness. Normally it's burning hot here (all year round basically) but it was low 70s today. Sadly, it's back in the 80s tomorrow.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 21:36, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Also, normally I don't run 10 miles (usually just once a week). I generally do 2 workouts (the total distance being between 5 and 8 miles), 2 easy runs (6-8 miles), 1 race (3 miles + 2 miles for warm-up/cool-down), and 1 long run (10-12 miles). The best long run I've ever done actually started about two blocks away from the Scratch HQ.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 21:38, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
jvvg old: I get the pun! For me it's 57 degrees fahrenheit today. Once winter hits.... it'll be close to 10 degrees fahrenheit. Bur. I even have to walk through school in these temperatures.
jvvg new: Oo! So you've run by the Scratch HQ a few times before? That sounds like lots of fun! I wish I could have joined you on that run.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 21:41, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, my brothers go to college in Cambridge (though not at MIT), and when we visit them we stay at a hotel right next to MIT. The route is MIT to the Riverside Green Line station via Beacon Street (take Beacon Street until it ends).
jvvg (talk | contribs) 21:52, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Wait what you can run a 5:07 mile? O___o My best ever is about 7 minutes. xP
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 23:35, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I've been training basically non-stop for 5 years. That's how I can do it.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 00:07, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Makes more sense lol
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 02:39, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I remember doing summer school and after two weeks, I went from about a 7 minute mile to a bit above a 6:30 minute mile. But anyway, a 5:07 mile sounds amazing!
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 02:41, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Come on let's go here
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 02:42, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
i run out of breath after a while :(
Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 03:08, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, same with me. :P I can run longer (maybe 2-3 miles?) without that happening now, but I remember one of the first times I ever ran a mile, I was so close to wheezing towards the end. xD
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 03:35, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
i'm dying after 3 miles - at 4, i'm dragging myself across the sidewalk
Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 03:46, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I'm doing a 5K next Sunday, but I'm probably not gonna run the whole time. xP
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 04:11, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Last week, I did a 20x400 workout, each 400 meters (~1/4 mile) being 80 seconds or faster. I have another race on Wednesday.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 11:40, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

I have my final Cross Country meet of the season this Wednesday.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 11:41, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Well my running talk page idea was a flop.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 14:25, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
How come I was the only one who seemed to get yelled at for this?
SSSLogo.png SuperSmashScratch (talk | contribs) 18:58, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Yelled at for what?
jvvg (talk | contribs) 19:04, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Editing an archive. I did it accidently once and got yelled at for it.
SSSLogo.png SuperSmashScratch (talk | contribs) 21:30, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Well, Krett never actually did edit the archive. If he did, I would have been unhappy.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 22:10, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I would've reverted it after. I will do it, mark my words..
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 23:19, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

I love subways too. I live in a city that doesn't have one but they are super cool! Do you know of any websites that have articles about them?
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 20:07, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

If you want to read tidbits about the subway in DC, read this blog. http://nycsubway.org also has lots of cool stuff, including stuff about subways not in NYC. Otherwise, I mostly read Wikipedia. The city in which I live also doesn't have any form of subway or light rail (although we recently got a commuter rail line). One of my goals in life is to live in a city that does have a good rapid transit system (I'm considering DC, Philadelphia, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, although there are 15 heavy rail systems in the USA, 12 of which are not in/near NYC).
jvvg (talk | contribs) 20:13, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I want to be a computer programmer and I think I would end up living in those cities. Also Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota has a good light rail, bus system.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 20:16, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I either want to be a software engineer or a transportation engineer.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 20:23, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Those are cool jobs. I am leaning toward computers for sure. Here is a site that shows the number of job openings for computer programmers. 7 of the 10 listed have rapid transit.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 20:24, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
All 10 of them at least have a light rail system. DC actually looks like a pretty neat place to live, and the nicest rapid transit system I've ever been on.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 20:28, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
Do you have this poster?
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 20:29, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I don't have the poster, I just have printed out maps of a few systems.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 20:33, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
@jvvg: Really? I didn't think Chicago had one. Anyway, D.C. does sound like a nice place to live. You've been to D.C.?
@scimonster: That is an awesome poster!
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 20:33, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
There's no light rail in Chicago, I meant they all have either light rail and/or heavy rail. DC also doesn't have light rail, although they're getting it later this year.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 20:36, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
I've been to DC before, the museums are pretty cool and the White House. I was surprised at the lack of security around the White House when I visited.
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 22:01, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
So is the American public right now, I think.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 00:08, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Nice jvvg, nice. I wish I could ride them more. They can be really expensive.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 11:02, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── They can still be a lot cheaper than driving.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 11:39, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Very true. They can be faster too. I wish we still had passenger trains in the US. I know there are a couple but I love trains and light rails and stuff like that.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 11:42, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I've only ever taken Amtrak once, but it was very nice. The nicest route (the Acela) is along the Northeast Corridor, between Washington DC and Boston.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 11:44, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Disney World has trains and light rails and people movers. ;P
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 11:45, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I don't live anywhere close to Disney World sci. I want to get over to the east coast. Me and Mom have already declred we are going to Boston sometime.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 11:46, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I actually live within an hour of Disney World.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 11:46, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Aha! The truth is revealed. I live in the midwest. Nowhere close to anything worthy. Except Mall of America.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 11:52, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I also don't live near anything worthy. Just lots of gators.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 12:08, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I wish I could see gators more often. I live in the eastern US with not much around.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 13:19, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

After about a day, gators get pretty boring.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 13:20, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
I would love to see some in the wild. From a distance of course.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 22:30, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
gators sound cute ;)

jvvg (talk | contribs) 23:56, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Yep! And don't worry, the if we leave the front page we lose topic hasn't gotten a new high score, and it probably won't ever again - no need to edit the post :P I used to be super active there, I check in about once every 1-2 weeks now.

Big request

Hi! I know this is a tiny bit of a lot to do, but I would like to request a page to be protected and some pages to be deleted. These are some subpages that I've made either a while ago, or ones that I've made recently that really have no point - and I would like these pages to be deleted:

Also, can you protect this page? Sorry that this is kind of a big request, but thanks anyways!
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 23:40, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

Yes Done
jvvg (talk | contribs) 00:08, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 00:24, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
You're welcome. :)
jvvg (talk | contribs) 00:25, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Just a reminder - I noticed that the talk pages are still up on the ones that had them. ;)
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 00:26, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Got those too.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 00:34, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Cool-Dude asked for the EW page in his userspace to be deleted--can you please do that?

New article

hi I am new how do you make a article ??
Cool-d1234 (talk | contribs) 00:28, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

I replied on your talk page explaining how.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 00:31, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

I know you don't want duplicates, but an admin should be enforcing the don't remove messages thing, not fighting it. Please--I want tweaker's topic back.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 00:59, 8 October 2014 (UTC)

I said several times that 1. Tweaker does not have permission to do any tasks it was not specifically given permission to and 2. Tweaker is not the arbiter of the election. By making that announcement, you violated both of those rules. You started running Tweaker for the election without permission, and we only agreed to it after the fact because it was already running and you already posted the messages. If you do anything (seriously anything) else with Tweaker without permission from the Wiki community, it will be blocked.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 01:03, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
Geez, okay, fine. But can I still have my topic back? BTW, that means I should ask about using it for no-red.....
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 01:04, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
Most of the community has already disagreed with no-red, anyways
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 01:05, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
NoRed was the same circumstances as I described above, we only sort-of agreed to it because you already started and we couldn't undo it. However, this does not mean we need any more nored, so please do not use Tweaker for it.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 01:05, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
Fine, all my noredding can show up in RC and get you all angry, fine by me.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 01:06, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
you're saying that if tweaker edits even once, the bot will be blocked?
Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 01:08, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
My point was more along the lines of don't no-red at all anymore. Anyway, please remember the bold rule: before doing anything bold, ask about it. @KrIsMa: yes. It was only actually approved to be a temporary replacement for WM, and as such should only be used for that. I don't use WM for anything except the intended purpose and a few test edits, and the test edits don't actually affect any pages.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 01:09, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
Yes, and he's telling me to not be harsh. BTW.....
Keep in mind that I will not block someone just because you tell me to

If we're going to keep any funny redirects, I'd say that's the only one because it's obviously a joke and not something somebody would likely find just by typing in a simple search query.

Krett, it's very nice that you want to be helpful, but please stop going around and acting like the official EW advisor. If you say anything wrong, it will make my life harder. Anyway, derpmeup's link was right.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 22:41, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Krett12 (talk | contribs) 23:02, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
I'm not just talking about this case. In almost every case where somebody asks a question, you jump in and answer as soon as you can. You also keep telling people to ask you, rather than an actual EW or admin, for help on how to use the EW/admin stuff. In addition, you were insisting that election stuff was only official when Tweaker said so, rather than when someone actually coordinating the election said so.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 18:43, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Also, when you told KrIsMa and Turkey3 not to patrol edits because of me, I would have told them if there were a problem. However, as my response said, there was not a problem.

It was probably just a false detection - the code might have gotten a bit confused with the deletion. ;)

Spanish Wiki?

Hello there! I saw some discussion being made about making a Spanish Wiki. I was wondering if you knew if that was still being made or planned. If so, I would love to help! Thanks!
ZaharaMar (talk | contribs) 04:22, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Um, not really. jvvg doesn't want to host it, and I was hosting it, but I don't want to use my own computer, and I don't have a credit card so I can't use paid hosting, free hosting sucks, and my parents won't host it for me. I tried talking to the DACH people but they wouldn't meet our needs. ZaharaMar, if you can provide 1 FTP account and 1 MySQL database, you will be my hero. And if you don't know what FTP or MySQL is, then you probably don't have enough computer experience to do this. Just ask {{PAGENAME}}. And by {{PAGENAME}} I mean Jvvg/Archive 11
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 13:51, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Krett12 (talk | contribs) 13:50, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Turkey3 is right. I'm pretty busy with schoolwork and my other programming projects.

Cross Country Poster

Cross Country Poster.png
Made this for my locker and screenshot the document. What do you think?
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 14:55, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Now should I make a poetry forum?
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 15:11, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Please no. I just wanted to show my Wiki/CC buddy this poster I made.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 15:14, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
CC? You run with him in person? YOU LIVE NEAR EACH OTHER? This is getting creepy...
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 15:52, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
No. We don't live near each other at all. I live halfway between where he lives now and where he used to live.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 18:23, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
It's a very nice poster. :)
jvvg (talk | contribs) 18:46, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. I started my own wiki.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 18:58, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Nice. :)
jvvg (talk | contribs) 18:59, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

I would ask for help but no one else really knows much about it.
-PRO- (talk | contribs) 19:13, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
There might be some info on other places on the internet. ;)
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 19:14, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Yeah. I am mostly taking it from the website.

New Composition #4

Remember how I mentioned a new composition in Skype? Well here it is! clicky clicky I hope you enjoy it!
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 20:57, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

I need help.

I don't really get how to put images on here. Can you help me?
Bigpuppy (talk | contribs) 13:13, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

I replied on your talk page.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 13:26, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

You made an error in the protection name.....

Instead of saying "Just Krett12, and nobody else, only Krett12, I am thinking all about Krettie right now" you said "people". I think you made a type :P (a huge one)
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 13:48, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Well, would you really have preferred it if I called you out in the protection message?
jvvg (talk | contribs) 13:50, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't think of that :P. But I edited an archive--I win the bet.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 13:52, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
You also violated Wiki-space, which is not acceptable...
jvvg (talk | contribs) 13:54, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
What is Wiki space? Never heard of that in all my seven years.....
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 14:11, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Wiki-space is a term I just made up to refer to official Wiki stuff that should only be edited by specific people.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 14:15, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
krett12, you see the note saying not to edit the page though?..
Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 14:17, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

A Page I Made

Did I do the right thing/stuff on this page? I am going to edit it and add more info to it though.
Jandrewg (talk | contribs) 14:18, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Also WikiMonitor notified me but I was planning to put a catigory but I forgot wich one. So then I found it and added it.:P
Jandrewg (talk | contribs) 14:23, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
We only allow pages for mods considered very notable (see Scratch Wiki:New page policies), and unfortunately that mod does not meet those criteria, so I had to delete the page.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 14:25, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Jandrewg (talk | contribs) 14:32, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

I know it would be hard, but have the default color for WikiMonitor be blue and somewhere in the prefs you could change it to red? Maybe Krett12 would be happier.
Jandrewg (talk | contribs) 14:39, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

That would be a bit over-complicated for something purely aesthetic.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 14:41, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
The point is to catch eyes. Everybody should see it as red, and as jvvg points out, it'd be a lot of work just for different opinions.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 14:43, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Are you good with computers and motherboards and shortcuts and coding and stuff like that?
JayceeMinecraft (talk | contribs) 14:43, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

He's good at a lot of things.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 14:44, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Btw I replied to you on Computer Coding.
JayceeMinecraft (talk | contribs) 14:46, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
I am extremely good at coding, but not so good at motherboards and stuff.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 15:26, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Oh, OK since I don't know that much PHP, would you like to contribute to my wiki?(I'm going to make you bureaucrat). With your awesome technology it will succeed very well.
JayceeMinecraft (talk | contribs) 15:28, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
I've already got a lot of projects going on right now, I'm not sure if I really have time to add another one. :/
jvvg (talk | contribs) 15:35, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
I understand, but you don't have to be active, just check in every few weeks.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 15:37, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
@jvvg OK. I have no contributors, Krett always ignores me and SSS comes on at about 7:00 pm. :(
JayceeMinecraft (talk | contribs) 15:39, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Do you feel like I'm ignoring you? I'm trying not to be. We should find a time to get on skype together and talk this out? What time zone are you in?
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 16:28, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Account Requests

I requested an account with krett12_ScriptsTeam. Could you please reject it with a silly rejection reason that is included in the request notes? I'm making an "everyone is crazy except me" gallery and I'd like some pictures to go in it.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 16:26, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

I rejected your request but didn't include any reason.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 16:28, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
But then I won't get my screenshot :(. BTW, I didn't mean in the queue, can you comment that on my profile? That it was rejected 'cause of the jelly donut thing (the exact one is in the notes)
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 16:30, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
I'm not going to make a comment on your profile just so you can use it to say people are crazy.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 16:31, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Well, I'm not going to say anything, just show some pictures. Fine, I'll have someone else do it. What was the exact string again?

I said no such thing! But my friend Krett12_ScriptsTeam did.

You are online

Since an admin is online Now is a convenient time to archive. Please don't fix the archive header, I like it broken. Please protect.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 17:08, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Sci ninja'd me (I was eating lunch).
jvvg (talk | contribs) 17:52, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Eating lunch and online?
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 22:07, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
I wasn't online. You probably just checked right after I left.

I Accepted My Fist Account Request

So I checkout User:Renthor and made his account! I just want to make sure I did everything correctly (hopefully I did not screw up badly in the review process). I looked at how long he has been on Scratch, checked his activity (which is very high actually), he has a good reputation, makes wonderful art, and has a good honest reasoning for wanting to join the Wiki. Then I told him on his profile his account was accepted. Tell me if I did something wrong!
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 01:33, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

Not an EW, so I'm not perfect on this, but I do know that you shouldn't accept a user because they made good art.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 02:20, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
Yes, but it is a sign of skill with Scratch, which you need to have at least a bit of to be accepted. ;)
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 02:22, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
Exactly that is not the reason why I accepted it, but perhaps I thought he could contribute to art pages on the Wiki. He has a good request message mostly.
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 02:35, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
You can make art in any program and then import it into Scratch. They could've drawn it on paper; they don't even have to be good with computers.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 02:24, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
That is what I do, I use Inkscape :P Well - I guess it was a bit unnecessary, but I think he was just saying that as a compliment rather than a thing that he based accepting on.
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 02:27, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
turkey3, we don't know what the request notes are because they were purged, but i can say that you were supposed to use [2] because it has some important links (im sure that if you incorporate those links into a custom message it would work too)
Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 03:54, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Just for future reference, here are they key things to look for:

  • Obvious criteria (registration date, not a New Scratcher, any recent activity, etc.)
  • Do request notes name specific stuff (i.e. specific articles/types of articles)
  • Did user specifically say that he/she read S:CONTRIB (it's a little trap I put in)

jvvg (talk | contribs)

Oops, I erased your timestamp and I'm too lazy to bring it back.

About the trap thing, I'm not so sure it's gonna work.
You see, where you placed lists stuff that we highly recommend that the user does.
And if the user wants to seem smart, they will claim they did it all on their own, not they used a help page.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 12:06, 13 October 2014 (UTC)

It specifically says that your request will be rejected if you don't say that, and on the request account page you check a box saying you read it.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 15:15, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
ps, if you reject an account you need to tell them on their scratch profile, see User:Jvvg/Authentication/Messages :)
