I created an account but it is not sending me an email. I checked four times and I entered the correct email.

- Ok, resend the email one more time and the reason it was not working was because Krett installed ConfirmAccount so I had to remove it on my tablet! You know how hard that is?

Why?
Why compete with Wikipedia? WP has:
- Over 4.6 million articles
- Over 20 million editors
- Is the #5 visited site in the world
- Known and reputable
- Funded
Can you seriously expect to compete?

- We're not competing with them, just striving to make a big wiki ;) Also, it's the 6th most visited.
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 02:02, 26 October 2014 (UTC)- Oh, and Wikipedia has active editors who make 20-50 edits daily that are also on the scratch wiki
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 02:03, 26 October 2014 (UTC)- Well, my life is boring so I decided to create the wiki as a challenge. And I know lots of programming so it is fun seeing your wiki become even better. Plus, if something really bad ever happens to Wikipedia we could send the owner of it our wiki.
JayceeMinecraft (talk | contribs) 08:03, 26 October 2014 (UTC)- There's not exactly an owner of wikipedia. The founders of it are Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger, but it's technically owned by the Wikimedia Foundation. Also, there are so many wikis that cover everything, that this wouldn't really suffice as a replacement. The WMF is a huge company, do you expect their servers to just suddenly shut down all of their wikis? That's also one of the reasons I've left, the subject was too broad and it's been done quite a few times already.

The IP was me just checking out the CP a bit; I sometimes change IPs or use different devices.
