Also, try using <center> and </center> tags. It would make your pictures on the top of your pages look cooler (in my opinion).

Also, I have a quick question for you. What program do you use to make the "Welcome to golden-scratch's talk page" sign?

Capitalisation

I saw that you wrote that you prefer your username with a lowercase g. If you want your User Page and your Talk Page to look like this, you can add {{lowercase title}} at the top, and they'll display as User:golden-scratch and User Talk:golden-scratch. Hope that helped!
