Hey, I noticed that your signature shows up like this:

when I assume it's supposed to be

You can change this by going to your preferences, typing <scratchsig>Drunken_Sailor</scratchsig> into "New signature:" and then press save, and you're done! From then on, when you do ~~~~ it'll show your real signature instead of the bugged-out one that you're using now.

If you want to make a new page:

1. Take a look at our new page policies to make sure that your page is allowed
2. Go to the page title you want
3. When it says "Sorry, this page doesn't exist", click the pencil and then click "Create"
4. Start editing!

That should cover it, I think.

About British/American spellings

There's actually no guideline for which spelling you use - either one is fine in article content, just make sure you're consistent. However, article titles should use American spellings.

Hi, I'm new here...

Hey, since you were the first person to ask comment on my talk page: can I ask you some questions? I was wondering how to do a bunch of stuff... First of all, does the wiki use BBcode, because it seems that, if it does, it's different to that of the forums. Also, how do you make sub-pages? I didn't understand from the article how to turn them on. Among other questions, how do I make a wiki account profile picture, does the Wiki have emojis (I think I remember seeing that you have to use a double square bracket image to access them?) and how do I get a box of contents on a page. Thanks in advance!

Wow, ok. First thing's first, welcome! :D

Sure! You can ask me questions anytime! :)

The Wiki does not use BBCode; it uses HTML, which is very similar. The main difference is that you use arrows (< and >) rather than square brackets ([ and ]) in your tags. Some basic HTML help can be found at Help:HTML.

To create a sub page, go to the desired page name under your Userspace,(https://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/User:Auroura_Wolf/PAGENAMEHERE) and click "Create" and boom! You can put whatever you want there! (As long as it follows the Community Guidelines)

Your Wiki profile picture should automatically update to your Scratch one. Open the drop-down menu by clicking your username and select "Preferences". Scroll down to the "Signature" section, and then tick the box that says "Treat signature as wikitext". Then type <scratchsig>Auroura Wolf</scratchsig>. Press save, and then your Wiki profile picture will automatically update to your Scratch one.

Yes, the Wiki does have emojis. A list of them and how to use them can be found in Category:Emoticon Templates.

A table of contents will automatically appear on a page that has over four main headers. To force a table of contents, put __TOC__ where you want the table of contents to appear.

Sorry, I need to correct you on several things:

First, the Wiki does NOT use real HTML: it uses MediaWiki’s special syntax. A cheat sheet for codes is here.

To create a user subpage, navigate to the corresponding title (for example, User:Aurora_Wolf/Sandbox) and click the pencil, then “create”.

I already contacted you on your talk about your signature.

Emojis? Of course - find them here. @Drunken_Sailor: I fixed the link you made - you accidentally added your talk to the category!

A table of contents will appear automatically before the first heading if there are more than 4 headings - but if you have special needs for a TOC you can use __TOC__, which makes the TOC appear where you place that; or __FORCETOC__, which overrides everything and makes the TOC appear normally; or __NOTOC__, which makes sure that the TOC doesn’t exist.
