 Congratulations on getting your Scratch Wiki account accepted! I'm starhero5697, one of the many wikians out there. I also frequent the forums - there's a chance you may have seen me there before. Feel free to read my userpage to learn more about me. Before you start editing and making improvements to Wiki pages, take some time to read the help pages to learn all you need to know about this amazing Wiki. If you have any questions, don't be shy to bring them up in the Community Portal. Do find the time to create your unique userpage which is like your About Me but with more customization.

New Wikian Tips

  • Check out the help pages if you haven't yet. They explain a lot of stuff on the wiki.
  • Use the sandbox to test out formatting and other stuff. The public sandbox gets cleared automatically every few hours by a bot. If you'd like your own sandbox that won't get cleared automatically, you can create one by going here.
  • You reply to others by clicking the pencil icon in the top-right of the page, then clicking "edit." After that find the person you'd like to reply to, add the right number of :'s - the first person doesn't add any, the second person adds one, third adds two, fourth adds three, and so on. Then you type what you'd like to say and sign it with ~~~~. You click save page and there you go! Here is an example conversation for you that is fake:
Hi everyone! There's a mistake in the "Scratch" section.
Example User 1 (talk | contribs)
Oh...Yeah. One of the images needs to be changed.
Example User 2 (talk | contribs)
 I'll do it now!

  • If you have any big questions about the wiki or suggestions (or something else relating to the wiki that you want a lot of people to see), you can post in the Community Portal. This is the official main talk page for our wiki. You can also reply to posts there. :)
  • If you're looking for pages to edit, I recommend random page. You can find it on the navigation bar (to the left) of the wiki. You can also look in the category "Pages to Improve"; it has multiple sub-categories with pages that need to be changed.
  • The box below where it says "summary" when you make an edit is for your edit summary. Put a short description of your edit here.
  • Please check "This is a minor edit" if your edit is minor when making an edit — this means things like just changing capitalization, removing a space, or another small edit like that. :)
  • If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! There's a list of Experienced Wikians (people that have been elected by the community to help lead it) here. There's a list of active users here. Of course, you can also ask me on my talk page or ask on the Community Portal.

Your Signature

Hey there, what's up?

When you create a message on a talk page, what do you put at the end of your message to sign it? I'm asking since something wonky is happening with the formatting of some of your messages and I'd like to see if I can fix it. Thanks!

I put ~ ~ ~ ~. I think the one you saw was the time that i first signed something, i didn't know you had to put ~ ~ ~ ~ to sign, so I just copied how someone else did their signature, but when I was going to save my changes, It said to sign with ~ ~ ~ ~, so I signed without removing the one I did before, and saved the page. It didn't appear right but there was a 3 minute cooldown for editing, so I forgot about it lol.

I post a proper pocture in a couple hours (on mobile right now), but it's not indented and two or three lines down. (By the way, the image will help because I can illustrate exactly what's wrong onto the image)

You don't need to put any spaces or manually indent for your signature, it does that automatically.

You don't need spaces between the 4 tiles and your writing.

For example, if I were to create a topic on your talk page about what books I was reading, I would title it "Books" (this is only if you clicked the new topic button). If you just edited the entire page, you would do this == <topic here> ==.
