Just a heads up
Hello! I've moved your talk archive from Acebsa Talk Page Archive 1 (Welcome notes) to User talk:Acebsa/Archive 1 (Welcome notes) so that it is in the correct namespace. In the future, please include User talk:
in the front of new user talk archives! (more info here)

Ok thanks! I will be sure to do that next time!

Please provide a reason for reverting other users' edits
Hello! I see you made two reverts (Special:Diff/258057 and Special:Diff/258071) without providing a reason for either. It is good practice to provide an edit summary for all your edits, but this is especially true when it comes to reverting other users' edits. Note that this does not apply for reverting obvious policy violations (such as vandalism). Thank you, and thanks for your contributions to the wiki!
bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 22:06, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Ok Sorry :( I will do that in the future.
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 22:12, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- No need to apologize — I'm just letting you know. Thanks for understanding! Also, I recommend you read Help:Welcome/4 for more information about talk pages and indenting.
bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 22:15, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- Ok, figured that out. I learn something new about this wiki every time I login.
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 22:22, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- That's great! If you ever decide to edit another MediaWiki-based wiki (such as Wikipedia), your knowledge about formatting will help you there too!
bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 22:24, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- I think it's less important to apologize and more important to stop doing it. I explained why content was removed from the scratch time page, and that reason was not addressed at all, so there is no way for other editors to know why it was restored. Based on that, I will be reinstating the two edits (as I don't believe that the "R" in BRD has transpired with

-esque summaries. If you have questions with edits, you may ask on the article's talk page or the talk page of the initiating author, or in cases of immediate problems, edits can be undone, replacing the default summary with an explanation of why it was reversed (as without it the previous version should stand).
Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 22:28, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- My edit had important information and should not have been reversed.
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 22:30, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- Due to page caching, the time displayed can actually be entirely wrong. In addition, the current Scratch Time is somewhat irrelevant due to the forums having localized time for the past seven years. Unless you are referring to the other edit on Forum ID, in which case, the information there was not lost, just reworded to be more encyclopedic.
Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 22:32, 24 August 2020 (UTC) - If you noticed, I changed the way the time on that page was displayed.
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 22:33, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- It was not displayed at all at that point, it used an external link. External links are generally avoided in the page body except where absolutely necessary. And, since Scratch Time is not being used anymore, it definitely does not constitute "absolutely necessary". It might be that the link could be in External Links section.

Hello! I have reverted Scratch Time to the revision I think is in the right in terms of S:BRD and temporarily protected the page. After you come to consensus, I will unprotect it. I'm currently looking into Forum ID. Thanks!
bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 23:04, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- It is fine the way you have it. i wont change it.
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 23:23, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- So to clarify, the current revision of Scratch Time, without the "Current Time," is okay for you? If so, I will unprotect the page as consensus will have been reached.
bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 23:26, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- yes that is right.
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 23:30, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- Alright, I have unprotected the page. Thank you for clarifying.
bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 23:32, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- What do you think about the other article?
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 23:36, 24 August 2020 (UTC)- I'm not too sure who is in the wrong there. I've asked the other EWs and admins for their feedback, but they have not responded yet. If you and Naleksuh could come to consensus without me protecting the page, though, that would resolve the issue.

About Forum ID
I think neither your nor Naleksuh's versions are quite ideal. I propose a third version:
“ | A forum ID is an integer that represents a certain forum, used in URLs to specify which forum to view and in subsequent database queries to specify which forum's data to fetch. For example, the forum ID for the Announcements forum is 5; thus https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/5 is the link to view its topics. | ” |
I think this includes the information from both your versions while remaining sufficiently concise. How does this look to you?
kenny2scratch Talk Contribs Directory 01:00, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
used in URLs to specify which forum to view and in subsequent database queries to specify which forum's data to fetch.
I think this needs to be made shorter, but other than that it looks good.
Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 01:01, 25 August 2020 (UTC)- How about this: "which when used in URLs specifies which forum's data the database should fetch for the user to view."
- If you still have issue with that then make a counterproposal :)
- We'll wait on implementing anything until Acebsa has had a say as well.

I did compress it but the recommendation for photo size on the wiki is way to small. Please make it bigger.

Edit summary
Hi there! Could you please clarify what you meant by this edit summary? Thanks!
bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 21:31, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
- I guess I forgot to make a edit summary but I was meaning to tell why Scratch has been growing so rapidly.
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 21:58, 10 September 2020 (UTC)- You added text to the page, your edit was reworded to be more encyclopedic, then you undid this to the previous edit with no explanation ("undid revision by a user" is not sufficient). "becoming interested in learning how to code" is not the only reason to join Scratch as this implied (it was narrowed on the facts at hand). The Scratch Wiki is not a publisher of your own beliefs but A professional encyclopedia for all things Scratch.
- I am becoming increasingly concerned with your edits as nearly all of them have broken a guideline. While I have tried to patiently work with you, this has not been returned with more recently your text on Ban was blatantly defamatory and User_talk:Naleksuh#Please_stop_changing_my_edits does not indicate the ability to work in a collaborative enviornment. I will be busy with other stuff shortly, but I will ask you again to please improve your conduct.
Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 22:05, 10 September 2020 (UTC)- This entire comment indicates that YOU think only YOUR ideas matter. Don't be telling me that I can't work in a collaborative environment when you clearly can't stand be asked kindly to stop reversing all of my edits that were totally fine. Stop "being concered" about me and try and be more concerned with yourself and your conduct.
Acebsa (talk | contribs) 22:58, 11 September 2020 (UTC)- If you object to an edit of yours being reverted, content disputes on the article's talk page are always welcomed. However, your comment stated that I am not allowed revert your edits in any capacity, which is simply not true, and contradictory to the spirit of the bold, revert, discuss cycle.

Concerning an edit of yours;
Hello, Acebsa! I am posting here with a concern of this edit of yours. You indented incorrectly, so I fixed your mistake. Please make sure all your edits have no issues before submitting it!

Please be respectful on talk pages
Hi. I have nothing good to say to you here. Your recent talk page posts have been accusatory and aggressive, which violates Community Guidelines, to say nothing of Wiki guidelines. Please assume good faith, even if others don't, and remember that reverting edits is only problematic when the revert is not explained, as per S:BRD policy. If you can't remember these things, the Wiki might not be the best place for you.
I'd also like to note that reverting edits does not break any guidelines, as long as the revert is explained in the edit summary. Also remember that if it's your edit that's reverted, by BRD your next step is to ask the reverter why they did it, and not to make your original edit again until your discussion reaches consensus.

- This is a formal warning. In addition, talk page rules disallow removing topics unless archiving. Will you pay more attention to CGs and Wiki guidelines from now on?

Do NOT vandalise
On Special:Diff/260785, you turned off WikiMonitor "for testing". This is NOT an acceptable reason to turn off WikiMonitor, and it says so on the page. Please stop destructing the wiki.
