Cool tips on how to edit
  1. To edit, click the pencil icon at the top of the page next to your username. Then, click edit. If you don't see the button it may be because the page is protected for certain users.
  2. After you are in the editor, check out the cheatsheet for editing tips.
  3. You can also check out the help pages for more detailed information on editing.
  4. You can test editing features out in the community sandbox (it will get cleared every few hours), or you can make your own sandbox here.
  5. Before making a page, make sure it does not already exist. You can do this by using the search bar located at the top of the page.
  6. If the page you wanted to make is already created, you can create a redirect page! For more info on redirect pages, see this.
  7. To make a page, go here, or type the page name you want in the search bar and then press the link that says "create this page by editing this!"
  8. For information on magic words, check out the MediaWiki Documentatation.

  1. Use random page
  2. Check out articles to expand
  3. Check out article stubs
  4. Look at edits on recent changes and see what you can do to improve it even more.


Cool tips for posting on talk pages
  1. To post on someone's talk page, simply press the pencil icon and then press "New Topic". Type in the subject and message.
  2. Then, make sure you sign your post with 4 tidles (~~~~)
  3. When replying to a talk page post, edit the section that has the message and then indent your post with a colon (:). If someone already replied, use one more colon then they used. (See example conversation below)

I remove a post you made on Talk:April Fools' Day

I had to remove a post you made to Talk:April Fools' Day because you were using the page for general discussion about the subject not related to the well-being of the article. The Wiki Guidelines state not to use talk pages for forum-like discussions, so please make sure of this when commenting on talk pages.

Please compress files you upload

Hello, I'm TemplatesFTW, a bot that does various maintenance tasks in the background. This is just a friendly reminder that when uploading File:7salad3salad street bannery type thing.png and File:7salad3salad street sign icon.png, the image size was kinda big, and it could have been smaller if you had compressed it with TinyPNG. About your banner...

Hello! This is just a note that I've recategorized your banner, File:7salad3salad street bannery type thing.png, from the Category:Other Images to Category:Users' Images, and changed the summary a bit to show that it's yours. When you upload an image for you only in the future, please categorize it in the Category:Users' Images or one of its subcategories as the other categories are only used for articles' images. Also rememeber to show your name in your summary as 'my' does not tell anyone whose image is that. Thank you! :)

Question

How do I put pictures in my signature? I always see your username in a street sign image when signing your messages and I was wondering how do I put pictures in my signature

@Codeingit — Short answer, they use a custom signature, where you can set your signature to anything (that follows the custom signature guidelines).
Long answer, they use an image in their custom signature. They did it like [[File:7salad3salad_street_bannery_type_thing.png|90x20px|link=User:7salad3salad]], where the 'link' parameter is where the image will link to.
