Ah, you finally joined!

Kenny2scratch logo.jpgWelcome to the Scratch Wiki! I look forward to the useful edits you'll make and hope you'll have fun here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page, where you can talk about the Wiki or even ask personal questions! If you need quick help with wiki markup, take a look at Scratch Wiki:Cheatsheet. You might want to go to Category:Articles to Expand to find pages that need editing. I get my inspiration from Special:RecentChanges however, so looking at that helps too. See you around, 78ch3;

Hello and welcome to the Scratch Wiki! If you need a specific markup to format a page in any way desired, the Wiki markup Help page should have what you need here. If you have questions, just ask on the Community Portal, or you can ask one of the Sysops. I hope you read the Guidelines, because you could mess everything up if you didn't! Finally, remember to stay smart, have fun, and whatever that last thing is! :P

Welcome to the Scratch Wiki!
Hey there! Welcome to the Scratch Wiki, 78ch3! We are glad that you've decided to join us here! I'm Drunken_Sailor, and I'm here to answer any questions or queries you might have about the Wiki. You can message me on my Talk Page if you need help with anything on the Wiki, have a question you want to ask, or just to chat! :P

If you want to find pages to edit, then you could look at Articles to expand or Article stubs to find pages that you can improve. Alternatively, you could have a look at Innacurate articles to find places to add references. I also get my own inspiration from Special:Random.

Have great time on the Wiki! Hope to see you around making some great edits! Bye for now, 78ch3!

I recommend you remove NoBots from your talk page

I idly came here to see what messages you had, and noticed something...

I suggest you remove {{NoBots}} from your talk page - that template is meant for when a bot is doing something wrong to one particular page. If you're annoyed at getting WikiMonitor messages, there's a simple way to remedy that - start obeying them! Signing your posts is important, and so is categorizing pages, and so is using "show preview".

If you want help remembering to sign your posts, you should try out my userscript - it warns you if you try to save a talk page edit without signing your post.

"show preview" is an important button - on the forums, you can post once and edit millions of times, and all it'll do is show when it was last edited... but on the wiki, if you save, then edit and save again, then edit and save again, there'll be three separate copies of the same page stored on the server.

Categorizing pages is the thing I forget the most often - but that doesn't mean I shouldn't do it. Categorizing pages lets people browse the wiki more easily, instead of having to rely on Special:Random.

P.S. The reason I could see that category is because I have hidden categories unhidden in my preferences.

I have my own bot archive
78ch3 (talk | contribs) 19:37, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
The point of the bot archive is that you move bot messages into it after you've read them. If you have {{NoBots}} on your talk, that means bots can't leave messages there, meaning you can't read them.

Could you make a couple of fixes to your userpage?

Could you do the following:

  1. Replace {{inaccurate}} with {{inaccurate|cat=no}}. This removes your userpage from Category:Inaccurate Articles.
  2. Replace <scratchsig>Kenny2scratch</scratchsig> with {{User:Kenny2scratch/sig}}. That is my actual signature - I haven't used ScratchSig in 9 months...

Kenny2scratch logo.jpg kenny2scratch  Talk  Contribs  Directory
06:49, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Don't think I didn't see that message.
For the second one, sure, you don't have to... but for the first, please do. Category:Inaccurate Articles is meant for inaccurate articles, not userpages.
And one more thing - "I don't have to" isn't really acceptable. You can reply with a message saying why you think it wouldn't do any harm to not do it - but simply saying "I don't have to" is not enough.
I am willing to listen to an argument as to why you feel like it would be better not to do it. If you have such an argument, go ahead and say it.
Finally, if you were wondering - the reason I'm not doing it myself is because editing other users' userpages is strictly forbidden. That's why I'm asking you.
So could you please make the change(s)? Thanks.

Erm, ok. I did the first one. Although I do not want to get alerted for having an argument.

About the AF page you created

Hey there! This is just a reminder that Scratch Wiki:April Fools/Change_()_Effect_by_()_(block) is not yours, as it says on your userpage. Please remember to keep the collaborative spirit; it is free for everyone to edit. However, it is perfectly fine to say that you created the page.

Drunken_Sailor (talk | contribs) 15:08, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

It says I created it.
78ch3 (talk | contribs) 19:15, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, You did. But what Drunken_Sailor is trying to tell you is that you don't actually own it, and anyone can do what they want with it (within reason).

About your message on jvvg's talk

I already replied to you on jvvg's talk page, so I won't repeat myself here. I just wanted to bring your attention to it.

Oh, by the way

Sorry for the double post!

I noticed you did "{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTDAY}}th/rd/nd/st" at the top of your talk page... there's no need to do that. Instead, you can use "{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTDAY}}{{th|{{CURRENTDAY}}}}", which produces October 4th.

I noticed you forgot to do the indents. Place a colon (:) to indent your message. Here is an example of indenting:

Hi! Welcome to the wiki!
A-User (talk | contribs)

Thank you for the welcome message! Do you like ARK?
Flameman79 (talk | contribs)
Sure! I have a whole load of crystal and live on an island with metal, loads of rocks, dinosaurs, plants and trees! I have a raft, a house of stone and loads of storage chests. What do you have?
A-User (talk | contribs)
I have a house of wood and I tamed a parasaur and 3 Pteranodons. I live on that same island too. There is lots of metal, so I have lots of metal items. I have a stone base on a hill with loads of crystal and metal. I go there once in a while to get some. My raft is used for transport. I have a roof that has loads of large storage boxes on it and it is connected with a ladder. How many storeys does your house have? Mine has four and is a 3 foundation by 3 foundation area.
Flameman79 (talk | contribs)
My house is 7 storey and is 3 foundation by 2 foundation. It is made of stone. I have plenty of storage boxes. My dinosaurs are kept at the beach surrounded by wooden fences. I don’t have much crystal, but I do go to another beach to kill trilobites for oil and silica pearls. I have a raft that I use to go fishing, since I have a nearby bee hive. I killed all the bees I think. What tools and weapons do you have?
ARKlover3858 (talk | contribs)
I need to go. I have a boring meeting my dad has to go to. It is just about the economy. My dad tried to tell his boss I shouldn’t go, but it is a family occasion and everybody needs to go.
A-User (talk | contribs)

So you see? That is indenting. When you add a message, look for how many colons there are. If there are none, add 1. If there are 1, add 1, and so on. If the indents get to six or seven and you want to add a message, and an out dent by doing {{Outdent|<Number Of colons here>}}. I hope you found this guide useful!

Election nomination

Thank you for your interest in the EW election! However, we require that all candidates have at least 50 mainspace edits. At the time I post this, you have 10. Don't let this discourage you though! You may not be able to run in this election, but we will have more, and in the meantime there is still lots of work to do and we would love to see you help with that.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 00:45, 22 January 2018 (UTC)

Am I still eligible if I make more edits before the nomination ends?
78ch3 (talk | contribs) 03:30, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
Yes, you would be eligible. However, if you intend to do so, please make sure that they are quality edits, as when deciding who we are going to have run, we will look at more than just the number of edits.

Why your file didn't have the right category

Hi! I saw you uploaded File:Balloon Flight.png, and you tried to get the category right. Well, uh, you had a little problem - since (I assume) you were using a mobile device, the apostrophe you added in the category name was not a normal apostrophe: ' but a unicode apostrophe! so the category could not have been right no matter what you did unless you somehow inserted a normal apostrophe. Just letting you know!
Kenny2scratch logo.jpg kenny2scratch  Talk  Contribs  Directory
10:21, 19 February 2018 (CET)

Sorry, I didn’t realise my iPad uses Unicode apostrophe. I don’t think I can change that though, so that error might happen a lot.

Please don't use your account age as a bargaining chip

Hi, Terrariadude ;)

Normally, the unpleasant social situation you see sometimes is someone saying they should get their way simply because they've existed longer. You seem to be doing the exact inverse. I have seen you try to get your way and/or get out of trouble by mentioning that you're "new" at least two times - once on the recent SWAF/AFD edit dispute resolution, and once on your own talk page, at the top.

First off, I don't think you count as "new" anymore. You're a full Wikian now (i.e. your account is over a month old and has over 50 edits). You're also much older than some other New Wikians.

Second, saying things like "I will get the last laugh. I am only new and it is unfair to me." is totally unacceptable, especially when you use it to get your own way, like you were in the SWAF/AFD situation. You're threatening people with reports, which is

  • completely against Community Guidelines, and
  • just an all-and-around bad thing to do, for lack of a better description.

I'd like you to remove the part in your talk page saying you're new and it's "unfair" to you. In the future, as well, please don't emotionally threaten people by saying you're new, especially since that's now a lie.

I hope you don't take another wikibreak just because of this, though. I'm only posting this message because I got really angry when I saw how you tried to make jvvg use your version in the SWAF/AFD dispute. You have made other hilarious AF edits, and your mainspace edits are also pretty good. Wiki on!
Kenny2scratch logo.jpg kenny2scratch  Talk  Contribs  Directory
08:59, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

I was meaning to remove it a few days after becoming a wikian, but someone sent me a message AND a whole bunch of errors happened so I just waited a few days, but I forgot. Also, I did not make him, I was just not happy that he did not use my version, especially at a time where my school is terrible and not doing much.

I’m not taking a wiki break, but I am close to. Please, you saw the message at the top, even though it doesn’t exist anymore, a new rule in my userpage does, and you have just broken it, plus that old rule without consequences.
