Welcome to the Scratch Wiki! I hope you have a good time editing! You might want to get familiar to the Wiki if you haven't been on any other wikis before by reading the help pages. Again, welcome, and have fun! :D

Userspace

Please don't edit pages in other peoples' "userspace". That means if a page starts with User: and it's not yours (i.e. User:GRA0007), you should not edit it. Thank you.

This even means that you can't fix errors on userpages. Instead, ask the user on his/her talk page. Also, another rule is that you can't edit other peoples' messages on talk pages for any reason unless they are seriously breaking formatting (i.e. it is an error that drastically alters the rest of the page), and redlinks/non-existent templates do not count as breaking the page. Please read S:GUIDES.

To add on to that, your edits were rolled back not because we're "evil", simply because it was not the right thing. We appreciate the gesture, but how about this to explain it to you. Imagine someone's profile on the main site. Imagine anyone with an account being able to edit it. You could change their "About Me" "What I'm Working On" and their Featured Project even. You could even edit the comments in the comments section. You would have to treat that ability with respect, wouldn't you? You should only do it if it is extremely inappropriate. And, you can only even edit talk pages to add/edit your own messages. On the Scratch profile, you would have to write your own messages, but not edit others. For leaving messages on others' talk pages, for the skin I use I click, "add topic". But people who are new to the wiki see something different. Click on the pencil button and select, "Comment" I think. Does this make sense?
If you still want to do this, start a topic on the Community Portal (often called, "CP") asking if this exception to the rule would be okay, this would be a discussion the whole community needs to be involved in. While I like the idea, they probably won't, but hey, it's worth a shot

Yes, I'm very sorry for editing other users namespaces. I completely didn't realize what I was doing at the time, and now I feel really stupid... Thanks for rolling back the changes, I won't do this in the future. :)

jvvg. Can I fix a part of that message there you made? There's a part that says you should edit if it's extremely inappropriate :/
SuperSmashScratch (talk | contribs) 15:50, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
As SuperSmashScratch says, you are allowed to edit other peoples' userpages and talk messages if there is something inappropriate or extremely disrespectful towards another user. However, in that case you should also notify an admin.

I meant that I wanted to fix a part on your message.

WikiMonitor Messages

Please do not delete WikiMonitor messages.
-PRO- Logo2.png-PRO- (talk | contribs) 11:53, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Yes, that could make it malfunction, and you don't want to delete them- they remind you of what to do.
SuperSmashScratch (talk | contribs) 11:55, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Actually, WM no longer malfunctions when you remove messages.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 15:23, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Yes, it won't send it again, but it still doesn't mean it's good.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 15:25, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Ok, sorry...
