Welcome to The Bee Movie Wikia! We're excited that you've joined the site and wish to help us document The Bee Movie. Before you get started though, we wanted to tell you about a few things.

First, I think it would be a good idea to tell you a little bit about our wiki and what is expected of you as a part of it.

This wiki is an online community made up of fans of The Bee Movie. We create this encyclopedia as a resource for others to learn more about our topic. Changes are constantly being made to bring our database to its highest potential. The wiki is a group project, and anything you change can be undone, overwritten, or deleted. You are now a small part of this community, but an important part.

We do have a couple rules. They can be viewed here, but I'll just brief you on them now.

Community Rules

  • Be kind and courteous to others. We're a friendly community, and we want to keep it that way.
  • Help others learn. Users are bound to make mistakes, but it's important to forgive and forget, as well as help them learn. If you tell a user that an action they took is not how we do something on the wiki, be sure to tell them how they can fix the mistake and what they should do instead.
  • Keep others involved. Make sure that you consult the community before you make any major changes to the wiki and ask for help when you need it. The wiki is a big project and no one could make it on their own. It's a team effort.
  • Keep the wiki user friendly. In order to make everything easily accessible, we categorize pages and create a table of contents. When creating new pages, make sure you file them under the appropriatte categories and sections in the Table of Contents.
  • If you need help, reach out. It can be overwhelming to edit the wiki, and if you're not sure about something, reach out. We're all willing to help.

Editing Rules

  • The wiki isn't yours. All content on this wiki belongs to every user. Do not sign your username in articles to say that you were the one who edited the page. Expect your content to be potentially modified or deleted completely. If you do not want this to happen, do not contribute your content here.
  • Treat all articles on the wiki as encyclopedia entries. Please:
    • Use proper grammar and good phrasing.
    • Articles should be complete and accurate, but also concise and easy to read.
    • Never use first person ("I", "we", "let's") and use second person ("you", "your") sparingly. Sound professional; these are not blog or forum posts.
    • Use correct Scratch vocabulary and avoid jargon/colloquial language.
    • Address all readers as opposed to just specific groups. If possible, make the article easy to understand by any age.
    • Write from a neutral point of view.
    • Only write articles that meet the criteria in The Bee Movie Wiki:New page policies
    • Only include material that would be considered notable
    • Make sure all information is accurate. Rather than add information to the wiki that you aren't sure is correct, just don't add it. If you see information that you're not sure about, you can ask others if they know if it's accurate, but don't delete it. Any information that is incorrect you can rewrite or get rid of. A good way to make sure information is correct is to use references. You can learn more about them at Help:References.
    • Keep articles on topic, appropriate, and informative.
  • Leave an edit summary, or explanation of what you changed and why, whenever you can. This is done in the text box that says "Summary:" below the editing box. Edit summaries make it easier to track edits without having to look at the actual difference, or comparison between two edits.

It's important that all members of the community are involved in as many aspects of the wiki as possible, that way it remains our wiki, not just one person's.
