Plausible Use?

Under the "Example Uses" section, there's the example "Detecting the overall brightness of a room." Would the block actaully be used for this, or would the (brightness) block be used?

@Ilovestories — Technically a thousand of these blocks would probably be able to do that, but obviously that's unpractical. The brightness block is much more sensible.
