Below, in the refrences there is a link that shows you how strong your password is. That link encourages you to get a VPN to keep your account secure. VPNs are not allowed on scratch (if you try to use them to get around blocks). I found an different one on the university of illinois website https://www.uic.edu/apps/strong-password it is also probably more safe since it ends with "edu"

- I support the link change. Even though it is not the primary focus of the current checker page, it would be on the safe side to not mention VPNs because of their potential use in block evading, even on websites beyond Scratch.
- Although the interface might be more complex than other password checkers; it mentions many techniques to use in passwords (and explains why the days to crack estimate is not used), and only suggests password managers and not VPNs. This password checker might be a very useful alternative to the current one listed on the page.
Jammum (💬 Talk - ✍️ Contribs) 08:48, 1 January 2023 (UTC)- I agree. The second one seems to have better tips and advice on creating a strong password and it doesn't direct you to using a VPN.
Adzboy • Talk • Contributions • Scratch Profile 09:12, 1 January 2023 (UTC)- I think the same too - and funnily couldn't access to the reference link, it threw out a 403 error (probably some annoying geoblock). I have changed the reference to the UIC link.
