Move?

I think this should be moved to Removing a String from a List by Value; it's a more generic title since the value doesn't have to be text.

I think that's a good idea. To keep with the formatting we're using in the current title, should "by value" be in brackets or is it good without? I think it's fine without it.

I kinda think "by text" shouldn't be in parentheses in the first place. I only found this through Special:Random :P

I agree, it doesn't really fit the "wiki editing conventions" if I recall correctly. I find almost everything I edit and inspiration for new pages from Special:Random.

My choice of a new title isn't really the best, though, in my opinion. Do you have any better ideas for a new title? Same, but this is a new find.
