Better Name?

Couldn't this have a shorter name, like "Removed Pac-man Project" or something, the title doesn't seem... I dunno... Catchy enough? Could just be me, anyone else agree?
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 14:08, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Yay an excuse to say hi :P
Uh I agree, "Removed Pac-man Project" would be nicer IMO ^^
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 05:43, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Just to point out, I've always seen it be Pac-Man. :P
Well, I like the mouthful. :P If you really want it shortened, I would suggest Pac-Man Project Removed by Namco.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 07:45, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
BTW, hi WeirdF! :D
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 07:45, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Either is fine with me ^^
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 09:59, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi guys! :D Also the official Namco Games website calls it PAC-MAN in all caps[1], so maybe it should be that. Anyway, basically Scimonster prefers the long title, I prefer the short title and Jon doesn't mind! :P We need a fourth judge!
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 12:05, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Maybe someone should tell that to Wikipedia. :P They do Pac-Man.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 12:15, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
Hmm... Well... I have no idea which one to believe!
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 12:37, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
It's Pac-Man, styled as PAC-MAN, so either will do. I agree with WeirdF. "Removed Pac-Man Project" is short and memorable.
veggieman001 (talk | contribs)
Well, what about Build Your Own Blocks (BYOB) (Scratch Modification)? Is that "short and memorable"? 1: no. 2: yes. :P
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 16:14, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
The title of that can't really be shortened though. Also, searching for things like "BYOB" brings that article up though, whereas searching for "Removed Pac-Man Project" doesn't bring up this article (yeah I suppose we could create a redirect). Anyway, I wouldn't mind if it didn't get changed to something shorter, but I'm for it, as is veggieman. That's 2v1 since Jon doesn't mind, so more opinions needed or not?

Wiki Rules

Doesn't the wiki rules state that there are to be no articles about projects or users? Doesn't this page violate this?
GameHutSoftware (talk | contribs) 01:50, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

It's been changed ;_;
Veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 04:30, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
Well we sort of limit ourselves; this is the only article about a project, and the Kaj article is the only article about a user.
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 05:00, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Why was the part about the petition ending deleted?

Scimonster, I was wondering why you deleted the part about petition ending. It seemed to contribute to the article.
Bsteward (talk | contribs) 23:37, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Not sure, I think that section was okay :P
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 04:48, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
I removed the part about it being closed, which is false information. XD
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 06:54, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
I should have been clearer in my edit summary; sorry.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 20:11, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
According to a post by waveOSBeta, on this forum this forum the petition ended "6PM Scratch Time, on 11/22/11".

Uh... is there a reason why the word 'project' was capitalised? I happened to like it before...
Veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 19:43, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

._.
Do you want to go move 1,705 pages, to make them lowercase?
We've always done uppercase page titles here. Section title's we agreed to go inconsistent, but not pages.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 19:54, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
While some things should be capitalised, like block names, other things like this really shouldn't. >:I
Veggieman001 (talk | contribs) 06:08, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

It was re-uploaded....

^^this Why does it say it wasnt allowed to be uploaded?
Wolvesstar97 (talk | contribs)

It was? o_O Do you have a link?
WeirdF (talk | contribs)
There are many copies of pacman on Scratch. Just do a quick search.
Bsteward (talk | contribs)
I saw it a while ago, but I cant find the link :(
Wolvesstar97 (talk | contribs) 20:05, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Add something new

To improve maybe you could add Namco's words? Or thoughts from @124scratch?
Whitetiger101 (talk | contribs)

Maybe you can. :)
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 04:15, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

Here is what I think.

Here is what I think. The company has copyrights, what if YOU were the creator of Pac-Man and you wanted to make money for your games. Then someone makes a copy of your game on Scratch. People would end up playing the free version and you won't be able to make money.

Talk pages are to discuss the well-being of the article, and not the topic itself. Thank you for your feedback on the issue, but this really isn't the place to post it.
