Hey, nice article!

I like it. :) You should explain a bit more about fractals, though. ;)

Thanks, I am focused on the tutorial part of the article right now, but you could go ahead and edit the introduction to explain a bit more fractals. You could even write an article about fractals.

I'm not sure how an article about fractals is related to Scratch though. I like the article too.

There are quite a few projects on fractals. I think that that make it related to Scratch.

I wrote an article about this a while ago

http://archive.scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=61381

Someone should merge the content into this article (btw, this is very well written).

EDIT: where "this" means the Wiki description. I'm not that braggy yet. :P

The contents are already somewhat merged, considering that there's already a tutorial. So, how should this be merged then? Do you mean that this article should use your tutorial/coding instead? And no, even though I'm the one who wrote the current tutorial (and thank you for that compliment ;) ), I'm free to replacing it, if it improves the article.

I feel my post explained the math better, while this one explaines the coding better (and, more importantly, uses Scratch 2.0-style coding with custom blocks and all). Someone needs to write a simple explanation (this article is incredibly hand-wavy about some things) of how complex numbers work, why we're doing all that gunk in the scripts, and how it all fits together—most notably in the section that actually does the math. :-)
Hardmath123 (talk | contribs) 00:06, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
I've forgotten about this page for awhile. :/
Anyway, I think that although teaching complex numbers would be helpful, this is a Scratch Wiki and complex numbers aren't related to Scratch. It's kind of like the binary article that was suggested earlier, but I would agree linking to a Wikipedia article on complex numbers would be nice.
Still, I'll look into merging the introductions. I'll also look into "why we're doing all that gunk in the scripts" to help clarify it more. Thanks for pointing that out!

I just did some updating, taking your tutorial into account. What do you think about the changes?

Too technical

i think this is too technical and mathmetic and not much people would understand it

While some people may consider this too technical for themselves, or don't understand it, this could be useful or interesting to learn about for people who do.

I agree with J_Coder26 for the same reasons.
