(Redirected from Talk:Making Scratch Close)

Making Scratch Close (2.0) should be a redirect to Making Scratch Close. The main page should have no version -- eg. Paint Editor. I can't seem to move the article's title without deleting the redirect page first...

Sorry, I kind of winged it hoping it would work. I think sci needs to delete a page to make way for the move, BTW.

Another reason we need admin permissions... :P

Why don't you want the version in the main page? 08:17, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
You've seen the suggested guidelines in User:Blob8108/UpdatesFor2.0, right? The logic is that we don't want new users to have to worry about which version they're using. Also it just looks aesthetically nicer. :)

Ah, ok. Understood. Sorry about this one, again. 09:00, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
No worries :P

Is this Necessary?

All this really tells people is how to fill up the browser's memory and crash it. It's like telling someone how to do something bad (such as prank people by crashing their browsers; fortunately for me Firefox is strong against browser crashes and can stop infinite loops)

It's fine, leave it. We provide the facts; moral judgement is up to the reader. :P

What if, for some reason, Scratch was preventing the browser from closing? This may, in some odd way, provide help.

True. Okey, we'll just provide the facts then.

What about the Define block?

If it doesn't crash Scratch, it certainly lags it out (especially in Run-Without-Screen-Refresh) and it also creates an infinite recursive loop, just like the BYOB example.

Maybe I'm wrong though.

The Wiki article has been updated and this is no longer relevant - my suggestion was added

Does the variable method still work?

The limit for the join block is 10240 characters, so I don't see how the variable method for crashing Scratch could still work.
Jokebookservice1 (talk | contribs) 00:07, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

The limit has been removed for Scratch 3.0, see Variable#Length_Limit.

is it all right if there is a big sprite that says "warning, clicking the button will crash the flash player", is that legal?

I made a project like that a while ago and got an alert about two years later that said "We removed [project] because it isn't respectful," so I would say no.

Thanks for being the bait :P

I dont see the point. Even if Scratch wouldnt shut down, your browser would probably be lagging so much where you cannot even drag new blocks out. Also, I think the list one uses hacked blocks?

I checked the list method and none of the blocks appear to be hacked.

scratchblocks Syntax Error

There's something wrong in the Snap! section of the page. There's some scratchblocks syntax at the very bottom of the section but it doesn't display properly. I have no idea what caused this, and how this can be fixed. Any ideas?
EddyTheFox12 (talk | contribs) 15:16, 24 November 2022 (UTC)

I know why. You must seperate the blocks to rows using enter.
