Use of Scratchblocks

Why are the links in this disambiguation page scratchblocks? Wouldn't it be more professional for the page to have normal links to the articles? I am not sure why scratchblocks have been used for this.

They are blocks so it's easier to understand what they are and better visualize them. It's easier to identify a block from actually seeing the block than just seeing its name in text.
