According to this post, you are not violating any rules by JSON hacking... :/ Also, more proof here.

YOU DON'T NEED TO SAVE IT TO YOUR DESKTOP
ARGH
Don't promote saving it to your desktop, you don't want to be responsible for a messy desktop. I never use my desktop, I even disabled desktop icons.
Also, shouldn't you talk about how to see the filename extension if you can't?
And don't make it so Windows-oriented.
AND ELABORATE MORE ON THE JSON EDITING! ugh this tutorial is terrible

- Sorry, but this tickled me a tad; I've never met a computer user who doesn't use the desktop. :P I must say though, the instructions are rather vague, and Linux and Mac computers obviously will work in different ways when it comes to compression. In fact, it is almost impossible to run the offline editor on Linux without WINE, a program which some hardcore Linux users may not want to use. If screenshots/instructions are required for Linux systems, I can lend a hand. EDIT: It's probably me being stupid, but after stating that compression software is required, there seems to be no mention of it in the instructions. :P

.zip extractors for other systems?
(Somewhat based off of the conversation above)
Does anybody know of .zip extractors for other systems? I know Ubuntu has a built-in Archive Manager, but I'm not sure about other Linux/UNIX OSes or Mac.

You don't need the offline editor
Sorry, but I couldn't help but notice you said that the requirements are that you need the Scratch 2 Offline Editor, but really you just need Scratch 2.0 . Also you do not need to save it as '.sb2' first and then '.zip', you could just save it as '.zip'

In 3.0
I found these projects will be broken... image--

If this is still relevant, please update it to 3.0
I'm new to the Wiki and I know nothing about JSON editing except that it probably won't work on the 3.0 website, so if this is still relevant it should be updated to 3.0 by someone who knows about this topic.
