Broken Link

At the beginning of the page, it says "The Welcoming Committee can help answer these questions by welcoming New Scratchers through projects in the Welcoming Committee studio". The words Welcoming Committee studio are a link to the studio, but there are some characters after the link that breaks it. I would fix the link, but the page is protected. Can an admin fix the link? Thanks!

"See this project to learn how to post a link" goes to the outdated 1.4 link tutorial. It should link to this one: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/47097052/

Organizing

In the how-to category, I am reorganizing the pages that begin with "How to". I have hit a roadblock because this page is protected. Could someone with appropriate rights please reorganize it under "Join the Welcoming Committee"?

Basically, at Category:How_To_Pages, all of the pages used to be organised under "h", because they started with "How to". This has since been reorganized, so that "How to" is taken out on the category page. However, this can't be changed here as the page is protected. Could you possibly replace the [[Category:How_To_Pages]] with [[Category:How_To_Pages|Join the Welcoming Committee]]? Thanks!

I cannot edit this page?

My first concern is that I cannot edit this "how-to page." My second concern is that this does NOT show the difference between "joining" and "curating." It only says join, falsely implying the ability to then curate the studio once you "join." If someone will please show me how to edit this or add a small section in the front that says joining is NOT getting the ability to curate, that'd be appreciated!

scmb1 protected it so that only members of the Scratch Team can edit it. I do not know the rationale behind this, but that is what happened and why none of us (including me) can edit it.

Hi, thanks for the feedback! We hoped that "Once your project is accepted, you’re a member of the Scratch Welcoming Committee!" makes clear that being a member means having a project added, not curating. Do you have a suggestion to make this more clear? -

I do! Also, sorry for the late reply. I think we should include a note at the top saying that curating isn't joining. This was confusing when I saw this link I believe.

This Page

This page needs it's requirements WAY more clear than this... And I can't do anything when the page is protected. Shouldn't curators of the SWC get to edit this to an extent, since after all, we review the projects? Also, I have to constantly say add helpful links, give a summary of the categories, explain more of what Scratch is, add why you joined, and your favorite part of the community. Am I just asking too much or are the requirements not updated?

It would take a lot of work to create a usergroup just for SWC curators. If the ST were to open up the page, they would need to open it up to all users and I am not sure that they are comfortable doing that.

FYI, if you want to make a large change to the page, you can put its contents in your sandbox and make your edits there - then ask someone who can edit it to look at the changes and implement them.
