how about we wait until cloud lists come out
Encoding scripts are long and painful. I could have made one, but I really can't be bothered to. :P

- Long and painful... indeed, and isn't that why it should have an article? So people don't need to endure that pain of doing it themselves :P and cloud lists will probably not come for months. Plus, I didn't endure the pain of typing this code. I made the scripts myself in a project, but used blob's handy-dandy tools to convert the scripts to code. Thanks blob!

characters and letter lists
Resolved (since an unknown date) |
---|
Hi there, turkey3! Reading through this article got me confused upon a couple of aspects. Firstly, if I comprehended correctly, the characters list will contain the letters (a-z) and any other numbers et cetera (please correct me if I am wrong). Briefly looking through the Encoding section scripts, there is a list named letter which was not mentioned in Requirements.
I was wondering if this is a substitute for the characters list or whether it performs a different function. If it is the same, you might want to change that as it may cause problems to Scratchers who will potentially try to follow this article into creating global high score storage on their own projects. Again, I do not know if I have misunderstood what has been explained, but it is just a query I had in mind. Thanks!

Letter List
Hi there! I know this is quite old now but if anyone views this help would be much appreciated. I have a little question about the article as it could be seen a little confusing. In the section about the letters list, would the Scratcher have to create the sections in the list and what would they be? e.g. 01 or a, 02 or b.
Apologies if I have done this wrong (commenting and stuff, still a bit confused. xD)

Look inside the "Adding and Replacing Scores" section.
