Banana, the account gdpr0000001 still exists, therefore its an "is" and not "was". If the account gdpr0000001 was deleted, it would be a was. The account that gdpr0000001 used to be no longer exists, but present is correct in this case.

Well so does Bob Ross, but he's likely in a grave or has been released as ashes. His memory still remains, being "was".

If the actual user doesn't exist, then it becomes "was" else gdpr guy would be active on Scratch.

I don't think it's correct to compare gdpr0000001 to Bob Ross. When someone is searching for Bob Ross, they are wondering about the person he was (hence, we use "was"). When someone is searching for gdpr0000001, they are wondering why there is a 20-year-old account that they can't follow. They might be interested to know about the person who gdpr0000001 was, but at the end of the day they are wondering why the account has so many weird quirks and is apparently so old. Also, we can't deliver the information about who gdpr0000001 was. Even if we could, we shouldn't, because they requested that their information be erased. Hence, we use "is." This is just my opinion, though. :)

In other words: The user requested that their information be erased under the GDPR. gdpr0000001 is an example of how the Scratch Team handles such requests. The original user is not relevant here. As such, we are not discussing the original user; we are discussing gdpr0000001.
Bigpuppy Logo.png bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 16:10, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Yes, "who was gdpr0000001" implies that the gdpr0000001 account no longer exists, which it does. Who gdpr0000001 previously was is irrelevant.
Naleksuh.jpg Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 18:13, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Actually, it may be a better idea to remove the question portion entirely here, since it contains information besides just that (i.e. gdpr0000001).

Test account?

IIRC the gdpr0000001 account was a test, while gdpr0000002 and the ones following it are more likely to have been actually used to wipe a user's data. Should the article be changed to be about GDPR accounts in general?
Jeffalo (talk | contribs) 20:13, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

The only thing I can think of is that it could have been used to 'test' the GDPR system, but that is still entirely speculation. There is nothing to even suggest that it is a test account, it's just something people say.
Naleksuh.jpg Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 20:57, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
I think I saw the ST say so on the forums but I can't find it. I guess it would be a good assumption to guess that the first one was a test and the ones following it are more likely to be real but yeah that would be just speculation. Also, did I format this question wrong? It shows up under the one above it and it doesn't have it's own edit feild.

I think I fixed the formatting of this comment...

ID vs. Profile ID

Spaceflyer234, please stop "fixing" the ref. It is not broken. It is intended to point to the id field, because that is what increments with each new account, instead of looking at the field.

Maybe you should bring this up on the user's talk page? :)
Groko13 (talk | contribs) 23:10, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
The article's talk page is the appropriate place to discuss this. However because this wiki does not have a notification system, I have left a tb notice on his talk page.

Removing several redirects to this page

Currently, User:Gdpr0000001 and User talk:Gdpr0000001 redirect to these page. I think those redirects should be deleted, for several reasons. One is that the user has never (and will never) had an account on this wiki. Secondly, it could confuse several Scratchers why it is there. Thirdly, other usernames for non-Scratch Wiki users in userspace do not get redirected to other parts of the wiki mainspace (except User:Kaj).

I think these redirects should not be deleted, because of the joke articles. Also, it's not a real user.

I do think they should be deleted, there's really no point of them and I don't think normal Scratchers looking for the information are going to put User: before it. So yeah, I think it would make sense to be deleted.

I also think these redirects should be deleted per the reasons outlined in the NotUseful template.
Naleksuh.jpg Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 06:10, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
I think these redirects are really important, like User:kaj and User talk:kaj. Also, I requested a RfC for the all problems, so I'll wait for RfC.

Ahmettli, can you clarify what it means to be "good for scratchers"? I don't see why that means the page should not be at the above title, and does not appear to address the reason for its flag.
Naleksuh.jpg Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 23:56, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

To clarify; Scratch have lots of project about gdpr0000001; so when someone types the name, it will give the answer via a redirect.

Right, but I am not asking to delete this and leave it as a red link. I want this page to be moved to gdpr0000001 as it contains much more information and can be expanded into more than an FAQ.
