Finding the missing Forum IDs

If you sort the ID numbers, there are a few gaps. Someone try to find them out by using archiving or contacting Scratch Team, as they all lead to 403.

50-53 Forum ID also exists, but lead to 403. All others lead to 404.

There are some forums that were deleted or only created for test purposes, so I doubt they would have a record of those. The rest are either ones like the dustbin or moderator forum or ones they probably wouldn't want to share with us.

As of now, only forum IDs 12, 35, 38, 40-47, 50-51, and 53 lead to 403. 52 is now the Scratch Day forum. I believe, as per jvvg's reply, that the 403 sections are the dustbin, moderator, or ST forums, or other forums that should be inaccessible to the general public.

I know four of the forums that are missing. Should I add them? They are all private forums. Three of them I have access to which is how I know them, and the last one (the dustbin forum), I was able to figure out and have proof of. Although, I may need to get permission before sharing the ones I have access to, but I can at least share the number of the dustbin forum.

Actually, it looks like the dustbin forum was already figured out xD I didn't see it earlier.

Meaning

could someone add why the forums have id's?

I don’t know how Scratch runs their site, but with my prior understanding of websites, I would assume this would be to simplify things as a computer can go “Oh, 1!” And redirect to “1” as listed in its code, unlike letters, which unnecessarily complicates things. Also, I don’t think anyone would be looking to understand how websites are run.

I'm guessing it is to make the URLS shorter, and thus, making forum URLS easier to link.
