Not Useful
I don't think there's enough information for this to be its own article. Maybe a redirect to April Fools' Day#2020 instead?

- There's also a section about Catblocks in. I agree, I don't think this should be its own article, and I also agree it should be a redirect to April Fools' Day#2020.
Bananaandchoc1 (talk | contribs) 13:17, 29 June 2020 (UTC)- I agree. It should definetly be deleted, or redirected to April Fools' Day#2020 or Hat Block.
Foxlife37 (talk | contribs) 21:32, 14 July 2020 (UTC)- I've done a lot of cleanup on the article, which has resolved most of the issues. At this point, I'd say to keep. We have an article on Color FX Test () (block), and this is arguably more important than that due to being an actual intentional event and being referenced more. - Even with the improvements on the page, I don't think it deserves its own article; maybe a redirect to April Fools' Day#2020 would work well.
TenType (talk | contribs) 17:54, 7 August 2020 (UTC)- Again, cat blocks are constantly referenced in the scratch community, they have made their way into culture, trends, the list of rejected suggestions, and tons more. There is no reason to redirect this. Also, what about Color FX Test () (block) in this case. As all blocks like this should be documented. The one thing that is questionable though, is adding it to list of block types. Although it could be done well if properly explained that it was april fools. - I do see what you are saying, Naleksuh. The question is, do we consider cat blocks to be on the same level as things like the Semicolon Glitch and Evil Kumquats?
bigpuppy talk ▪︎ contribs 18:08, 7 August 2020 (UTC)- Yes, this is comically similar to the semicolon glitch. It was added then shortly removed, has little effect but is humorous, users petition to have it readded, petition refused, but users still use it socially. The only difference I would say is that cat blocks were added intentionally, the semicolon glitch was--just that, a glitch. I have also mentioned Color FX Test () (block) several times above, which relates here. So having coverage like this is not unusual. In addition, the article here is consistently being improved, and contains information that may not be appropriate for the April Fools Day page, which would result in a loss by redirecting it. Hope this sums up my thoughts. Col Cat 228 appears to have the same opinion below. :) Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 18:13, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Okay. Yeah, I think I agree with you now. However, I think we should leave up the {{NotUseful}} template for now until some more people respond.

- Of course. While I do believe consensus here is to keep, I do not close stuff I am heavily involved in. Will see what someone independent does. Naleksuh (talk | contribs) 18:20, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- I think this page can probably stand as its own article. The article is pretty short, and I think it could be easily merged into the April Fool's article, but it is important to Scratch culture. Although, I'm not sure how much more this article can be expanded.
Groko13 (talk | contribs) 18:28, 7 August 2020 (UTC)- The article should stay here. It's important for Scratch Community, and it has been discussed so much. It deserves a separate article. However, it can be linked from April Fool's 2020 section.

Could be useful
This is what i think: this page is absolutely empty, and it provides only some info that can already be read on April Fools' Day#2020. But, if we add more info, it could become useful, after all the Cat Blocks were a notable event and controversy in April

I think it would be more helpful if it had the define function :: cat
block.

- Yes I agree I added it as a example.

Information about 2024?
Cat Blocks didn't return for April Fools Day in 2024, so I'm thinking that this article could be updated to include that info.
