Is this the proper title

The wiki thinks this is a sub-page of (). Should it be moved to () divided by () (block) and have the incorrect title template added?

O_o I never noticed that... you have a sharp eye :P
Eh, I suppose... we should keep the current page as a redirect though.

That's what I was thinking exactly.

Can someone make a workaround that does it like long division

I'm too lazy to do it right now. ^^ Maybe I'll have time later.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 11:23, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I'll do one ;) (It won't be out immediately though.)
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 22:36, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
Done xP
Jonathanpb (talk | contribs) 08:51, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
I found a problem with it. It uses the ()/() block near the end of the script. Isn't the point of workarounds to not use the block?
BWOG (talk | contribs) 12:48, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
Well spotted. That is a good point, so I don't really think it counts as a workaround.
WeirdF (talk | contribs) 17:16, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I see that. ^^
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 04:43, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
I'm working on another that starts multiplying by 10 (X) and goes down until (X * Divisor < CurrentlySolving)

WWWHHHHOOOOOOOOPPPSSSSSS :O :O :O O_o ;'( ;'( ;'( I'll try and work around it ^^ :3

Workaround

The workaround is quite long. This isn't bad, however it takes up almost half of the article. I'm suggesting:

  • The image is put as a thumbnail, so people can see the full script if they want.
  • We put the workaround on a subpage: () divided by ()/Workaround

What do you think would better?

I think we should transcribe it, and edit the pre.blocks CSS to have a max-height property of about 550px.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 09:41, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
OK, I did both. :D
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 12:51, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
Nice! :)

new workaround... sort of

In regards to my "e^-b workaround", I've rewritten it so that it fits on one line as a single reporter, but returns "Error!" for any number divided by zero (but doesn't break the script). Is this worth adding, or is the original good enough. The main benefit of having this new one is that it is, as afore mentioned, a single reporter and therefore most accurately replaces the () / () block.

Infinity/NaN page

Goldfish here, I was wondering if some of you would think that we should create a new page on the topic of Infinity/NaN, in this case as a result of dividing by zero. I found some information on the topic (https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/130006/) that seemed relevant. What do you guys think?

Scientific Notation

I don't get what Scientific Notations have to do with division.

What in the heck is the link at the top

There's a weird link at the top that says "< ()" and links to this page for no reason. Can somebody fix it?

Oh, the Wiki thinks it is a subpage so it linked to it. Could an admin fix it?
