The Connecting to the Physical World forum is a forum in the Scratch Forums where Scratchers can discuss topics related to Pico Boards, LEGO WeDo, and connecting Scratch projects to the physical world. Before the January 26th, 2012 forum update, the forum was called Sensor Boards.[1] It has a very low amount of activity.

What the Forum Contains

The forum is for discussing Sensor Boards or any physical objects that can be controlled by Scratch. A lot of the posts in the forum are to do with questions about these modifications and real world items, which can work with Scratch. In general, the forum contains topics about the following two of many sensor boards:

PicoBoards

A PicoBoard (originally called a Scratch Board) is a rectangular device that contains various tools to interact with Scratch — a button, light sensing, sound-sensing, a slider, and alligator clips. This Sensor Board is well-known, and many topics discuss it.[2][3][4]

LEGO Education WeDo Robotics Kits

A LEGO Education WeDo Robotics Kit (called LEGO WeDo for short) is a Lego set that when assembled in various ways, it can be moved and controlled via Scratch. Available since Scratch 1.4, Lego WeDo has become well-known and many topics discuss it as well.

Activity

Not many Scratchers have a Sensor Board, Lego WeDo set or another external device and there are few Scratchers that are interested in the subject.[citation needed] Therefore, the forum receives very little activity, with only a very small group of Scratchers who post in the forum.
