Content disclaimer

The Scratch Wiki is a site dedicated to online, collaborative documentation of the Scratch program, website, and community; that is, a voluntary association of individuals (and possibly groups) working together to enhance knowledge about Scratch. The structure of the project allows anyone with an Internet connection that has had an accepted account request to alter its content. Please be advised that nothing found here has necessarily been reviewed by people with the expertise required to provide you with complete, accurate or reliable information.

According to §§ 8 to 10 TMG, the Scratch Wiki Team is not obliged to monitor or moderate transmitted or stored third-parties' information, or to investigate potentially illegal activity.

None of the contributors, sponsors, administrators or anyone else connected with the Scratch Wiki in any way whatsoever can be responsible for the appearance of any inaccurate or libelous information or for your use of the information contained in or linked from these web pages. However, the Scratch Wiki Team reserves the right to block users from editing (see Scratch Wiki:Blocking). Obligations to remove or censor information under general law remain unaffected. Liability for infringements in this regard, however, is disclaimed until the operator or owner of the website has been informed about the infrigement in question. Upon appropriate notification of violation, the Scratch Wiki Team will remove the offending content as soon as aware. As such, content that is suspected to violate the rights of third parties can be removed immediately and without notice.

Linking disclaimer

The Scratch Wiki may link to external websites hosted by third parties, on whose site operators we have no influence. Therefore, we cannot assume any liability for any external content the Wiki links to. The site operator of the external website is always responsible for the content hosted there. At the time of linking, the links are checked for illegality; however, the content of the linked site may have changed since the link was made. However, it is unreasonable to expect that we constantly monitor our pages for infringements without concrete evidence of an infringement. Upon appropriate notification, we will remove the links as soon as aware. Methods of contact for such notification can be found at the top of this disclaimer. When contacting, the page and link concerned (and potentially the specific section of the page) should be specified.

Note to rightsholders

When users are editing the Scratch Wiki, they are reminded not to include content copyrighted by third parties. However, it is impossible to prevent users from mistakenly adding content that violates intellectual property rights, and it is additionally not guaranteed that copyright-violating material is immediately recognized as such.

Upon appropriate notification of intellectual property rights violation, we will remove the offending content as soon as aware. Methods of contact for such notification can be found at the top of this disclaimer. When contacting, the offending content should be described exactly, preferably by linking to the section of the page it is found in, as well as the publication from which the materal was used without authorization.
