Rage icon.png This is an April Fools' Day version of Broadcast. Please don't take it seriously. You can find the original here.

A broadcast is a method implemented by the Scratch Team to inform each other about when a new project is made, or other similar events, so that they can steal energy units from them. To help try to stop the Scratch Team from collecting enough energy units to take over the world, you should aim not to use broadcasts in your projects, as they allow the Scratch Team to steal energy units from people. Other unintended side effects of using broadcasts in projects include, but are not limited to:

  • They make projects very laggy
  • They allow Gobo to steal all of Scratch Cat's variables, which is a huge security concern
  • They are orange, like evil kumquats - therefore they in league with them and will eat everybody's signatures!
  • If they are too broad, Reporter Blocks can take advantage of them to delete more things.

Workaround

People who make projects and want to keep their energy units can use Narrowcasts instead of broadcasts to send messages between sprites and clones.

Note Caution: Boolean Blocks can also receive these, and have been known to scare Scratch Cat.
