Discussion invitations are a way to invite willing editors to provide their opinion on discussions across the Scratch Wiki. They can be used to revive discussions that have slowed down or need additional input from other users.
Examples of Use
- Inviting editors to participate in a Community Portal discussion that has gone inactive
- Inviting editors to contribute their opinion to an unresolved discussion on the talk page of an article
Instructions
It's simple: just ping any users on the list whom you wish to add to the discussion, like so:
:{{@|user1|user2|user3}} Thoughts? ~~~~
If you do this, you must also list all of their usernames in the edit summary as well (i.e. inviting user1, user2, user3).
Alternatively, add {{subst:Discussion Invitation|<discussion location>}} to their user talk page. It does not include a section header.
| When inviting others to discussions, please be aware of their limit and/or restrictions, shown next to their name on the list. |
