Propose Studios to be Featured is a topic on the Discussion Forums where studios are selected to be featured in the Featured Studios section of the Front Page. It can be found here. It is similar to Propose Projects to be Featured but it is a single topic hosted in the Show and Tell section of the Discussion Forums instead of a studio.
Some things that are looked for in Featured Studio candidates are:
- Providing an interesting prompt that inspires Scratchers to be creative and make projects.
- Being focused on a specific project type or topic– for example, mouse trail projects or projects about historical fashion.
- Having at least one active manager, but not tons of managers.
- Having fewer than 100 projects.
- Having at least two projects that serve as good examples of what can go in the studio.
- Not allowing everyone to add projects, but inviting anyone to ask for their project to be added by a studio curator.
- Not having an animated gif as its thumbnail.
- Not being an Add Everything studio.
- Having a description in multiple languages and inviting Scratchers to help translate it.
