To close a forum topic, the topic must be more than 24 hours old and the user who created the topic must be a Scratcher. If these conditions are met, a "close topic" button will be visible below the "submit post" button for the user that created it. If this option is not available, users are encouraged to report the post to ask for it to be closed. A member of the Scratch Team will then review the topic and decide whether to close it or not. If the topic is closed and needs to be reopened, a user can report the post asking for it to be reopened.
