There are a few set requirements that one must meet in order to apply to become a Scratch Team member. One must be at least 18 years old to apply, as being a member of the team is a real job. One must also have the legal right to work in their country.[1]
Positions
There are several positions that can be applied to the Scratch Team. This causes common misconceptions such as that one must either go to or work at MIT in order to be a member of the Scratch Team or that one should have skill in programming in order to join as a programmer. However, the position of Community Moderator can be applied remotely and does not require programming expertise in languages besides Scratch.[2]
