(Redirected from Help (blocks))
This article or section documents something not included in the current version of Scratch (3.0). It is only useful from a historical perspective. For information on the feature that replaced this one, see Tips Window. |
The help screen is a feature in Scratch that briefly described how different blocks worked. Every block in Scratch 1.4 had its own help section.
Features
Every help screen featured an example script with text by each block. Most had a short summary of one of the features. Some of them featured an image of what should happen after building the example script.
Opening and Using the Help Screen
To open the help screen, one could right-click the block wished to have help for, and select "help" at the top of the menu (above the gray bar).
The help screen for the block then showed up. It could be moved around by holding the left/right button down and moving the mouse. Note that holding down any key on the keyboard could not affect this. To exit, click the "OK" button at the bottom of the screen, or press the Enter (Return on Mac) key.
