Out of the uncategorized categories

Is there a way to get this out of the Uncategorized Categories page?

Well, there's a comment on the page when you try and edit it:

THIS CATEGORY IS SUPPOSED TO BE LEFT UNCATEGORISED. Please do not add any categories to this page. It is the top level category and belongs on the Special page for uncategorised categories

So I think we're supposed to leave it uncategorized :P

(Hey, 'uncategorized' is misspelled in that comment - I'm gonna go fix that ;))

Actually, I think that is the British spelling (they use es's instead of zee's (I wrote those out on purpose because - never mind)), but I like the American better.

Unwritten rule

It says that no pages should be added to this category. It also seems to be an unwritten rule that pages should not be added to any of the sub-categories. Is that a real "rule" or just habit?

Is it? It looks like unwritten rule... Wikipedia doesn't have that. Category:Contents is their top category, and the sub-categories have pages.

Why can't we categorize it?

It would be extremely easy. All you do is add [[Category:Scratch Wiki]] and it's not on the uncategorized list anymore.
