Actually, the Wiki did have open registrations for about 10 minutes when it was created before they had time to shut it off. (Scratchteam wasn't snappy enough, though)
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 13:34, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
It was at least 4 days, and more likely a week.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 15:28, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
Why? I thought they always planned for it to be off.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 15:34, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
Yes, but it took time to get it all ready. JSO had to make a custom account approval page.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 15:37, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
Why couldn't they just use the one provided by MediaWiki? The one we use now is based on that.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 15:38, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
It was directly integrated with the Scratch account, no confirmation codes or anything. And besides, barely anyone knew about it at the time.
