I created delete templates within other delete templates on that page. I also broke a few of them as "" tags were showing. CrazyBoy826 | Talk | 8,237 edits | Scratch 16:46, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
I changed the deletes to NotUsefuls because the delete template really signals that the page should be deleted, no matter what the page itself says. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 12:42, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
You can transclude templates without the prefix and all other pages with prefix by their FULLPAGENAME. How do I transclude mainspace pages without transcluding a template instead? CrazyBoy826 | Talk | 8,237 edits | Scratch 16:57, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
I tried, but it doesn't show up, [User:Asqwde/sidebar|here]] asqwdetalk|contribs 08:36, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
That's because it has <includeonly> tags around it! It will only show up when you include it in another page. Just remove those while you're making it. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 08:39, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
Done, thanks but how can i fix the tiny border in the bottom-left of the sidebar? asqwdetalk|contribs 08:41, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
That thing is there to re-expand the sidebar once it's collapsed. I think you forgot the z-index CSS property on the main div, so it's appearing behind it instead of in front. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 08:43, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
I fixed it myself, since you were additionally linking to a moved userpage and breaking formatting on your own userpages. You can look at the diff to see what I changed. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 08:59, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
You left a message on my talk page telling me to not clog up the Recent Changes, but I noticed something. You sent the message at 1:07! What happened to your sleeping schedule? CrazyBoy826 | Talk | 8,237 edits | Scratch
Sorry about not seeing the CP topic or about the edit conflict? If it's the former, nah, it's okay - ya just gotta be a little more obsessive about checking Special:RecentChanges. If it's the latter, that's also OK - I just didn't expect you to edit your message while I was writing mine, and I certainly didn't expect you to edit it again while I was fixing the first edit conflict! kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 17:18, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
No... @banana you're thinking of my Discord bot. My wiki bot isn't hosted, exactly - it's actually just a script that I run occasionally. When I do run it it's on my own laptop. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 18:55, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Nope! Well, sometimes, if I don't have access to my laptop but I do have access to SSH, then I run it from there occasionally, since I put it on GitHub. But that's very rare, I mostly run it from my laptop. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 19:06, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
Whose going to do CT? It was never posted yesterday! Also, after what happened yesterday on you-know-what, is jakel still going to do it? NYCDOT [ Talk Page | Contributions | Directory ] 12:25, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Hi! I noticed that on the page Scratch Trends, you added a trend to the "Project Trends" section titled "Nutshell projects". Before this was added, there was already a section called "...in a nutshell". I removed the original because I felt you explained it better, however next time please make sure you aren't posting a duplicate.
I feel so good about myself for correcting the super-experienced Kenny2scratch ;-;
EIephant_Lover (talk | contribs) 23:28, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
I explained it better? Thanks, I guess. I think I was acting on request, though, as I recall there was a page called "Nutshell Projects" that we later agreed to merge into Scratch Trends, which was why I added the section; nobody realized there was already such a section.
Yeah, your explanation was better :P The original was pretty vague. And whoops! I fixed the underscores :) Thanks for letting me know. And it's okay - I was just reading through and I read yours and went, "Wait, wasn't this here twice?" So I checked the edits and, yeah :P
I'm so bad at the wiki. Thanks for the reminder. Edit: I forgot to sign again. I really need a better memory - I may love elephants but certainly don't have a memory like one :P EIephant_Lover (talk | contribs) 00:40, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
Nah, you're just learning - think of it like a bicycle, it's hard to get started but once you've started it's a lot easier.
If you really find remembering to sign that difficult, you might want to try my userscript that warns you if you make a non-minor talk page edit without signing. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 05:18, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll check it out :) But one more thing - if you want to create a talk page for an article, how would you do so? EIephant_Lover (talk | contribs) 15:23, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
It's better to start new topics for new questions, by the way :)
Talk pages for mainspace articles are just "Talk:" then the article name - e.g. the talk page for "Scratch" is "Talk:Scratch". If the talk page doesn't exist yet, just create it with a new heading name for the topic you want to bring up. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 15:41, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
Okay, thanks :) I thought it was something like that, but I wasn't sure. EIephant_Lover (talk | contribs) 15:44, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
He does not necessarily have 3257 edits. Basically, he built recent changes. So whenever he patrols an edit (For EW plus basically marks it as approved) it counts as an activity action. But after 30 days he told me it ill fade away asqwdetalk|contribs 07:33, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
I ran maintenance on the Wiki a few days ago, and part of the maintenance was rebuilding the recent changes, which had the strange side effect of counting patrol logs in the recent changes and making patrolling count as an activity action.
Since I have to patrol every edit you make, CrazyBoy, my activity count shot up. In about a month, those side-effect patrol logs won't count as activity actions anymore (since they'll be more than 30 days ago) and my activity count should fall to normal.
But I do consider that to be the correct activity count - I think it's a bug that it doesn't count patrolling by default, and it counting after a rebuild is a glimpse at the true number. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 11:31, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
You told me that you don't have to manually add the delete category in the deletion summary of File:CrazyBoy826.png. I added it because image pages cannot have no comment or category. Can you please fix this bug that treats text edits to file pages as new files? CrazyBoy826 | Talk | 8,237 edits | Scratch 16:49, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
By all rights, a text edit to a file page should not be counted as a new file unless the file was uploaded with a blank description. Either the file was originally blank or something else is going on. kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 17:30, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
If you hadn't noticed, I'm pretty sure this topic was posted after that one, so he couldn't have possibly fixed it. I think I have, though, so try again? kenny2scratchTalkContribsDirectory 07:44, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
