JayceeMinecraft

It seems to me that JaceeMinecraft doesn't categorize files. If you look at their userpage, it is filled with notifications from Tweaker telling them to categorize pages. I feel we need to educate them how to because it can be hard to find messages on their talk page. Besides that the colors hurt my eyes every time I have to go to their page. SO should we do something about this? Thanks.
-PRO- Logo.jpg-PRO- (talk | contribs) 13:32, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

I just saw JayceeMinecraft's talk page for the first time today. I agree... there are a lot of notifications, and the colors are a bit hard to read through (I think that I understand jvvg's suggestion of user talk regulations now...)
The best/only thing I see that we can do is to comment on JayceeMinecraft's talk page about categorization and talk page colors.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 15:43, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
Alright. I hate going to their pages because my eyes actually hurt when I look at it. I'm not kidding. Thanks for your opinion.
-PRO- Logo.jpg-PRO- (talk | contribs) 15:52, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I keep forgetting because usually you can just place Category:Something but I forget because you have to click edit AGAIN and then add the category properly.

2 Notes Above

In the main namespace, there is no such thing as an author. Therefore, there is no such thing as, "deleting by author request". I am going to find someone else to roll it back, however, it should not have been done at all. Deleting a subpage of their userpage is one thing, deleting an article because, "a contributer" (or as you might say, "the author") asked for it to be deleted. Thanks.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 13:59, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

I didn't want it published yet. If I did, I would have already created it. Read what I posted on your userpage.
-PRO- Logo.jpg-PRO- (talk | contribs) 14:27, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
There is a such thing as an author in the wiki namespace. An author is defined as the "writer of a book, article, or report", which here would be -PRO- What there is no such thing as is a sole owner of any Wiki content, except for a user's namespace.
In this situation, since -PRO-, the author, had kindly asked for his/her article to be deleted, I deleted, since it is grounds inside of the Wiki for deletion.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 15:01, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
In that case, the author is everyone then. So wouldn't that mean that everyone would have to agree? I certainly don't agree.
Krett12 (talk | contribs) 00:11, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
-PRO- is still the only author because there weren't any sizable contributions to the content from anyone else.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 19:24, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

2nd creation

Congrats on approving the second account today, I think that's the most we have had in one day. Shame I can't do it though..... I'm missing out on the the User Account Creation Log. XD
JayceeMinecraftlogo.png JayceeMinecraft user | talk | contributions 20:05, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

Nope. There were 15 accounts created on November 4, 2012 by Jonathanpb. That's a huge number!
Anyway, thank you! :)
Edit: 17 were made on June 9, 2012!
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 20:47, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
Our standards used to be more lax for approval.
Scimonster (talk | contribs) 11:53, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
I've guessed that by now. A start up wiki wouldn't have many people looking to be editors.

Account Creation

B/C calc?

You're so lucky! My school makes people take A/B before taking B/C, so I'm taking A/B right now.
jvvg (talk | contribs) 23:15, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

My school also forces people to take AB Calculus before BC Calculus, but I took Pre-Calculus over the Summer, which meant I could cram AB into my sophomore year, and BC/Stats into my junior year. Next year, I'll get to take multi-variable calculus! Oh, the joy!

music

but did you create any music songs lately? your previous song was awesome!
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 00:46, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

I've created a few songs after the one I showed you, but unfortunately, none recently. Have you created any music since then?
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 22:40, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
oh darn it would be cool if you made a song about weather (like the last one was clouds, and next like rain! ;) hmm i tried to make a toccata, but its really hard to make lol ill show it to you when im done!!! :) (ps - if you dont mind can i see your other pieces? im really curious ;)
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 22:50, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Now that you brought it up, weather would be a nice topic to compose about next time. I'm starting to get a few ideas.
(Was my last piece really named Clouds? I feel as if it was another name.)
But anyway, I'll see if I can get you some of other compositions! I didn't use a computer to compose them, which means I will have to record my piano playing to get them to you. Hopefully you'll like my playing. ;)
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 13:18, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
oh even better! (it wasn't named clouds but thought that it sounded like it :)
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 00:38, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
btw i finished the song its in my profile!!
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 19:24, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
I actually thought it sounded like my career on Scratch in a way. :)
But anyway, good news! I just composed a song! It took close to an hour to get a good recording, but enjoy!
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 22:37, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── wow 1 hour! i commend you for recording it so many times for a great recording (which i believe you have done extremely well!) really nice song! i really love the song from how you played it (playing it to compliment the song!) and how the intervals are so nice! (going from a G triad to a F# then a G# triad) really nice! (now my mom is behind me and says that is a nice piece!) i rate it ∞/5! you are a great composer! did you write with paper or memorize it? :)
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 23:03, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

ps jsut wondering if you can think of a weather related word for it and if you put it as a title :)
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 01:43, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
I can think of weather related words, but this definitely does not deserve a weather related term. In fact, when I was writing the third (movement?), the one somewhat like the beginning, I was thinking of Ukraine and its current situation. It's really chaotic there. :(
But anyway, thank you a bunch and two! I'm not sure where you heard the triads (because I'm weak on music terminology, hence F# triad = ??? ), but I'm glad that you liked them! Personally, what I like the most in this piece are the mood shifts.
Edit: I memorized it. Writing music on paper distracts from the true music making, at least for me. That's also why I compose worse songs on the computer.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 02:14, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
wow! nice! do you mind if i do another piano-only song and record it and send it to you two again? :) piano only seems fun :)
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 02:24, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
I definitely don't mind! I'd love to hear the music of another talented piano player.
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 02:51, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
thanks :) here you go! enjoy!!! i made a lot of mistakes ahh lol this is the abridged version of the original - which was 7 minutes - sorry if it takes a long time to download :(
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 03:40, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
It didn't take a long time to download. Maybe 20 seconds? But even if it was 20 minutes, it was worth the wait to hear your wonderful playing. ;) (I only heard one mistake too. You had really nice playing!)
Now that I think of it, I'd like to break out more of the triad-based piano music I normally compose and try something smoother like your piece. I wonder what I'll come up with!
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 00:00, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── thanks! (maybe it was because i played it but i heard like 3-5 errors in there)
wow you have fast download speeds! it took about 2 minutes for me
hmm, you could try jvvg's chord-based left hand - it sounds good and its easy to pick up! (like instead of triads do something like fourths or third intervals), ill post a picture!
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 00:16, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

If it's a picture of the third and fourth intervals, I would definitely appreciate that.
About the wifi, my parent's actually got a new modem a few days ago because the old one kept on kicking out, so maybe that's why?

oh do make music theory?
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 23:13, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Do you mean "oh do take music theory?" or "Oh, do you take music theory?"
Anyway, no, I don't. I wish I was taking music theory, but I didn't have room in my schedule (I had enough schedule conflicts as is!). My piano teacher does do some basic music theory though, and I appreciate it. It's the only I'll get for an entire year more.
On the bright side, I'll get to play my piece for my choir teacher Michael Martin, and he's like a way amazing professional composer. I'm excited! :D
(I'll make sure to ask questions if I run into any. ;) )
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 23:45, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

oh, i ment "Oh! Do you take music theory" not do you make music theory, silly me Forum Smiley - Rolleyes.png
i can teach you some music theory if you want to add to your knowledge (im bored lol) do you know intervals? :)
wow! your choir teacher will love your composed song! :)
(tell him I said hi!) lol
KrIsMa Anamation2.gif KrIsMa user | talk | contribs | edits 23:55, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

(Sure, I will! )

Wow, nice job!
derpmeup (talk | contribs) 01:48, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Really nice website! It looks nice, and the features you pack in are good as well.
I think it would look nicer if you got the tools and options moved to a bar on the left side of the screen. Also, what is the divisions tab supposed to do?
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 23:24, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
The divisions tab is just all options for HTML divisions. I do like your idea a lot about having options on the side!
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 01:49, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
It's always a nice idea to look at other examples of webpage creators to get inspiration.
I see why you have the divisions tab, but how would you have multiple divisions? How would you edit each one separately?
ErnieParke (talk | contribs) 01:41, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

@Turkey3: Wait, you can upload chipmunk images in a google doc's chat? How do you do that? Or is it just the Google Doc itself? But anyways, that sounded like lots of fun. :P
@derpmeup: Never thought of that. That's a good idea!

thank you.

I first wanted to tell you that I really think this friendship, online or not, is still a true one. I wanted to tell you how much this friendship has evolved and how great it has been.

As I peek out...

As I peek out of my azure-blue duvet, I catch a glimpse of sunlight sifting through my curtains, sweet and delicate cream-orange sunlight beams hit my face gently, and caress me. As I rub my sore eyes and emerge from my sheets, I know today will be a great day. Fatigued, but energized at the same time. Looking out the window, I have the ability to erase all negative thoughts from my mind. I am no longer a human - I feel like I can fly. I can see the purest form of earth.

These events have never been replicated before, but I know that it will be a great day. I know that I can count on people who I trust. I know there I will not be fettered by horrible, maleficent thoughts. The change from a young tyro to an optimistic person was a big change for me, but all that it needed was one person to start the transformation. And this person is you, ErnieParke.
We didn't know each other for a while, even though we edited the wiki regularly at the same times. We would of still not known each other, if it wasn't for this simple edit to my userpage. Adding this small change has been extremely beneficial...
The first quote in finding friends are 'similar interests'. Jvvg, you and me alike love music. We got together to discuss some of our musical compositions, and that started a bigger discussion, and a bigger one. Eventually, this led to this, and we met up on Google Docs to discuss intervals. Teaching you intervals has been a blast, but we both were obliged to meet up again to talk about other things. And I am glad we did talk about other things, even if it doesn't relate to music once in a while!
Your knowledge of TagPro and Dwarf Fortress is enormous. Furthermore, you taught me some games that I love - TagPro has been extremely fun and Dwarf Fortress has been a blast learning! What stands out is how long you have been teaching me these hard-to-master games! I don't know how to express all these 'thank you's I have compiled, so that is why I am typing this paragraph for you - to express how much I have known you for, and to express how much I will miss you if we were to never talk to each other again. I hope that will never happen, and one day, we will meet each other in the real world without knowing. Wouldn't that be cool? We probably met one day and never noticed.
How could I forget your personality! Compliment Tuesdays show how generous you are to the wiki. The negativity of the wiki has driven you to create a 'remedy' to this, and this has been a very smart idea. Furthermore, we both write true compliments to a lot of users. This shows how much we love the wiki - we love it so much that we don't want users to be 'bad' and help fix this by sending people compliments! However, the idea of this was by you, and it was extremely smart of you. Congratulations!
I trust you a lot. I have never trusted a person so much on the internet before. You are my 'second family', and even though our choir teachers both say that 'our choirs are a family', I believe we can take that out to the real world, internet or real-life, because the world only has a handful of special people, ones who will never leave others hanging. Finding these special people would be extremely hard, but I believe I have found one and this person will always be in my 'second family', together with all my choir friends.
In a family, we are more than friends. A true friend will only stay by your side no matter what race, religion, political party, or gender, but to a family, none of that even crosses our mind. A true friend keeps promises. A family member always tells promises. A true friend never leaves you behind. A family member always tries to excel you forward.
As I am writing this, I am shedding tears, these words that I have never been able to convey in chat. As they say, 'words are a string of feelings'. A string of feelings that are able to convey deep meaning and 'touch the heart'. True friendship can be achieved through the internet, and I think we have just proved that.

As I sneak into my azure-blue duvet, I catch a glimpse of the brilliant white beams of moonlight coming from my window, brightening my bedroom. As I rub my tired eyes and tuck into my sheets, I know tomorrow will be a great day. Fatigued, but energized at the same time. Looking out the window, I have the ability to erase all negative thoughts from my mind. I am no longer a human - I feel like I can fly. I can see the purest form of earth.

Congrats!

I just found out you became an Admin!
Turkey3 (talk | contribs) 18:49, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

I've known he/she would be becoming admin for about a week or so. It said so in a topic above this one, named "Are you ok with becoming admin".
