So, I have a question. It says you can use email, skype, etc. to PM, but giving that out on Scratch is not allowed. Should that section be deleted?

It says it's not allowed, so I don't really think it matters that much.

Huh. I dunno

These articles are so akward.

In what way are they awkward? What should we change? Please be more specific.

Unmoderated chat

The page has links to sites with unmoderated chat. Should they be removed? I’m pretty sure they’re not allowed in the wiki.

There is an alternative not listed and not many people know about it. You create a studio with the question as the name and then invite people you want to PM. Then delete the studio. No one would know except the recipients.

...but should we document such abuse of the studio system? I think no.

I agree with Ken - listing something like that would encourage users to do that type of thing instead of teaching them not to.
Nambaseking01 (talk | contribs) 12:22, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
...It's kinda documented now that it's in the talk page.
Groko13 (talk | contribs) 23:24, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
I don't think a reader would purposefully view the discussion of the page...

Well, you're wrong. I did. Smiley - Cat Face.png

Another Alternative

Actually, this alternative shows that it's possible to PM using only public methods. To do this, just simulate the Diffie-Hellman algorithm somewhere and use the shared secret number to encrypt every message.
TonyBrown148 (talk | contribs) 07:29, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

I don't think we should list any more alternatives...
Groko13 (talk | contribs) 21:10, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Yeah I don't think we should specifically describe ways to circumvent the processes that the ST have put in place.

Agreed - and it looks like there was a discussion like this above
