Welcome to the page recording suggestions for Wiki Wednesday!
- What is Wiki Wednesday?
- Main page: Scratch Wiki:Wiki Wednesday
Wiki Wednesday is a Scratch News series run by the Scratch Team with suggestions from Scratch users, and is used to feature an article from the Scratch Wikis on the last Wednesday of every month in different languages. Each of the updates are posted on the Scratch News tab, and the Announcements forum.
- What should a Wiki Wednesday article include?
Good Wiki Wednesday articles should:
- Include images
- Follow Wiki guidelines
- Have relatively detailed content
- How do I suggest an article?
Simply go to the forum topic and suggest an article in a new post! When suggesting your article, make sure to include the name of the article (obviously) and a short explanation of why you think it merits a feature. Once you've suggested it, it should appear here in a day or two - if it doesn't, contact a Wikian to update it.

Set () Effect to () (Sound block)
- Who
- Why
I think this article should be featured because it is helpful and informing. I did not know what the “pan” effect does, but now I do. This article also includes an image of the block, which is helpful if the reader does not remember the name of the block. Also, the article reminds the reader that the block has a drop-down menu, which is good to know if the reader does not know how to access the block. The article also displays uses of the block and explains what the code would do. This is helpful if the reader still does not understand how the block works. The article is very helpful and easy to understand, so I think this article deserves to be featured.

I think that the Scratch Bit should be added as a featured article, because it is a cool little piece of upcoming hardware that will add some cool functionality to Scratch, and also to get the word out about it before it releases.

Scratch 1.0
- Who
- Why
It's not a feature but more of an upgrade from “The November 2006 beta for educators.” (The 2006 release of Scratch 1.0). Oh and just so you know,“The November 2006 beta for educators.” is actually the December 16,2006 release of scratch and is the beta of version 1.0.
