Password

I feel there should be some indication here—or elsewhere on Special:RequestAccount—that this should not be the user's Scratch password.
This page is the label for the "Password" box on Special:RequestAccount.

Support, but shouldn't it also say that it shouldn't be similar to any of a user's other passwords, or should we just link to the Password page?

Support. I'd do the first option, Dhulus.

I agree. Maybe we could label it "Wiki password" or something along those lines?

- Dhuls--One reason I mentioned Scratch specifically is because of the way the account request page is laid out. Imagine a user is requesting an account.
- They see "Scratch username." It's pretty clear what they need to type into that field, so they just type in their username.
- Then they see the next field, which says "Password," with no additional context. They then might think "oh, I just had to type in my Scratch username, so this probably has to be my Scratch password."
- Obviously not all users will think that way, but I can definitely imagine some users—especially those not as cognizant of the disconnect between the Scratch Wiki and Scratch website—misinterpreting the "Password" field and its purpose. Thus, I think it would be a good idea to add a small note clarifying this.
- I see what you're saying when you say that the note should state that the user's password should not be the same as any of the user's other passwords, but that would not eliminate the possibility that they might think that the Scratch website is "connected" somehow to the Scratch Wiki and so it doesn't count as a separate website. Do you get what I'm saying?
- Groko13--I was thinking that a note that appears when you hover over the "Password" field like so might be a good idea: Password However, your idea could be another option.
- Thank you everyone for replying!

- Support. Possibly it could be this: Password (do not enter passwords used on any other site)

- How about "Password (do not enter your passwords used on Scratch or any other websites)?

Okay, this is now Done, see Special:RequestAccount. (jvvg actually revamped the account request form entirely!)
